Afternoon all, had a much better day, sunshine, mild and dry until 4.30 pm when we had a surprise short shower. Fortunately I'd just finished gardening. Have now mulched all my roses, clematis, soft fruit and asparagus. Alas, what I thought were the new spears are actually raspberry runners from the bed opposite. That wasn't supposed to happen!
Not sure what to do now.

Hope you feel better soon @Busy-Lizzie and that everyone else has enjoyed their day.
Not good news @punkdoc, sincerely hope it's not needed..

Very surprised at the shock news about P & O - disgraceful way to treat employees.

It's obviously been milder down here, my magnolia stellata is fully out and looking magnificent despite a hard frost a couple of mornings ago.

Lovely pics with Nazanin's family in the papers today.

Sometimes a steak & kidney pudding is just what’s needed

    Evening. Just popping in.

There was a small bit of crumble left over, so I just had it with a cuppa BEFORE my tea. I needed a brufen and you shouldn’t take them on an empty stomach- that’s my excuse anyway.

I hope you are all ok. Dare we be hopeful of a dry and warmer weekend ahead??

Days are warming up here but nights will drop to 1 or 2°
Some plants just breaking the soil and daffodils just starting to emerge from buds.

My son bought in a huge bunch of daffs yesterday straight from Cornwall,  I put them in 3 vases.  One type has a beautiful smell.
Busy today with my big garden tidy up.

Noooooo! I missed the steak and kidney pud! That will teach me for scoffing crumble in such a reckless manner!

We don't like kidneys so, sorry, we'll pass.

Adam was good as gold this morning but a handful this afternoon.

Tummy is better than it was but not right yet.

    Home tomorrow.

Hope they'll be much nicer neighbours than the last lot @punkdoc.

We've just eaten a lovely quiche Lorraine (courtesy of Sainsbury's best) followed by a fresh fruit salad so I feel quite full.

Lovely steak and kidney @Dovefromabove, but I have just had a full English, so no room.

Had some great news this afternoon, new neighbours will move in tomorrow, so that will be our little hamlet of 4 houses full and the nasty ex NDN gone for good.
I'm so pleased for you both.
