Gorgeous morning down here, although there is quite a chilly wind. Had such a nice morning with the Donkeys yesterday, that we headed back up there this morning. Nearly two hours walk, and home for lunch. OH will be monitoring the Formula 1 this afternoon, so I’ll probably have a phone chat with daughter.
So glad you were able to visit hubby, @Hostafan1

OH was having his lunch and I was making a cole slaw for this evening when the doorbell rang ... neighbour from the opposite corner ... her garage and parking space aren't within her fenced garden and the wind had blown her tall solid back gate shut while she'd been getting something from the boot ... there's a Yale-type lock on the gate and the key was indoors.  Of course her front door was locked and had the key in the keyhole so she couldn't even go to her friend up the road who has a spare front door key. OH got our  stepladder out and managed to reach over, turn the knob and open the gate ... life can get quite exciting around here 😉

Afternoon all, glorious sunshine here too but , same cold wind as Ergates.  In garden most of morning, quite a few pots were very dry, as someone said once it never rains in pots. We replanted the Acer,  back in the same (repaired) planter, with all the self seeded pineapple lily's and aquilegia removed. Got SD'S  birthday bash to go to tonight,  not really my thing anymore, hope the music isn't too loud.

    Hello all.

I'm glad the home let you in to see OH @Hostafan1.

It's a fine day here, mild and sunny  but the sky is a bit hazy.

I slept badly, not what I was expecting back in my own bed, then OH rang this morning to say there had been a full moon.

I keep meaning to go out and do some gardening but I feel so tired. I went out earlier to post Daughter 1's birthday card, buy some potting compost, wash the Sahara dust off the car and fill up with diesel - ouch! Maybe I'll lever myself off the sofa in a minute, when I've done Wordle.

Been busy in the garden this morning in the sunshine.  It's a beautiful day although a bit on the windy side.  I've removed a rhododendron that didn't thrive after I moved it a couple of years ago and weeded the top corner of the garden.  Thinned out the jap anemones (I'll never manage to get rid of them).  Garden starting to look lovely now with lots of bulbs showing.
Whatever you are doing today I hope you have a good one.

Well, @Dovefromabove my OH replaced an old outdoor tap with a new one, so have I raised the excitement stakes a little? To be fair, I really needed one, makes life easier.
Well done your OH, for a good neighbourly deed, may I say.

Radiator cover painting saga continues but one more coat tomorrow should do it.   Then the fun of assembly...  Chest of drawers lime waxed but needs a day to set.   Handles polished and ready to go back on.

OH has weeded and hoed a border in the potager so tomorrow I can go and plant some flowering stuff for pollinators.  Pottering with pots for me this pm, weeding and watering and feeding now that buds are showing.  It's hazy bit warm today so very pleasant outside.

Glad you got to see OH @Hostafan1.  Sorry you're so tired @Busy-Lizzie and yes, full moon last night.  Good that you're getting some gardening done @Yviestevie.

    Enjoy your day everyone.

Maybe you should get some sheep @Hostafan1!

I decided to tidy up some pots on the terrace and then decided the big bay tree on the slope twixt gravelled area and a lower grassed area was too big for its boots so, one sharp pair of Felco's and a pair of loppers later it has been crown lifted and I've hacked back an unknown specimen hiding at its feet and a lone privet and the huge hardy fuchsia.   Looks a lot better.

We had sheep the first two summers we were here, but they weren't very methodical
