We had a lovely afternoon yesterday weatherwise, people sat out on the terrace, which was lovely, but then late afternoon it turned cold again, supposed to be nice again today, fingers crossed, looks a bit bit dull for now and still windy though.
Roast Beef Dinners on special today, quite a few reserved so I better get a move on.
Hope you all have a nice Sunday.

Another glorious sunny start to the day and it looks like we have more of it to come. Yesterday was ruined somewhat by very strong winds. Glad you were able to visit OH @Hostafan1 , will you be able to go each day as usual or will there be some restrictions? I hope the rugby results were to your liking @punkdoc and glad to hear that you have met the new neighbours. Grandson was here for Friday and Saturday as family has been Covid free (daily testing) for the last three days, poor boy was sent straight for the shower and his clothes straight for the washing machine more or less before he even got in the door just in case! Ooops. better go, cat is patting my leg telling me she wants more food, already had one feed this morning but as she is now 18 years old her wish is my every command of course. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
I’m sure you already know this @Hostafan1 but if you are registered as hubby’s Essential Caregiver then you can visit even if the home gets locked down due to Covid.
That link is really useful @chicky it looks as though Hosta should never be forbidden to visit his OH.
Much cooler and rather grey today. I've been to watch 2 small grandsons play in a tennis tournament. They won their doubles match but lost the individuals. The 6 yr old was very impressive, he hits the ball like an adult, but the courts are shorter for children so the ball went out a few times. He was playing against a 10 year old. I was very proud of him and people came up to congratulate my son on the playing of his son.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad you are feeling better @Busy-Lizzie. Not surprising that you should feel tired after being with a 3-year old for a few days. Lovely though those littlies are, they do take it out of you. Oh how embarrassed those army chaps must have been @Lizzie27 - what a funny sight. That is some grass you've got there @Hostafan1 - did you buy it so no-one could build on it? Some friends of ours bought the field at the back of their house for that reason. Glad you are still able to visit your hubby. Fingers crossed for when The Management are back. My OH dipped in and out of the rugby @punkdoc. He wasn't thrilled at the result. We had a lovely day yesterday - sunny enough for me to get one of the beds cut back and weeded then off to the sculpture trail followed by pizza with the family. We had an early Mother's Day as daughter is away visiting friends next weekend. One of them is having a book launch. He's written a book about the rave scene. Daughter knows some DJs from those days (and has even met Banksy! But shhh, not supposed to say). It was lovely seeing my old friend for a few days. But sad - will we ever see each other again?
Hi folks, Been busy in the garden this morning, still got a small area to sort out but the rest is looking ok. Planted some foxgloves and aquilegia grown from seed and have also fed the birds and cleaned out the bird bath. Might get a bit more done later (or might not). Hubby is off to Firstborn's this afternoon so I'll have the rest of the day to myself. Planning a long hot shower and a bit of pampering. Have a good day everyone. Looks like you should be ok visiting OH @Hostafan1 Glad you are feeling better @Busy-Lizzie
All the best for @Hostafan1 that his visits will be without any problems. I hope the sunshine is helping to lift everyone's spirits and family visits are a joy. Pampering sounds good, @Yviestevie .
OH has been a star today, edging borders and digging out plants that I've changed my mind about or that have spread beyond their allotted area ... it's already looking much better out there ... still a lot to do on the list tho', but we're getting there.

Just back from The Home. Nobody complained about my presence.
Tomorrow may be different when management are back.
