Evening all, after a cloudy start it brightened up at lunchtime. I didn't mind as I went into town for a haircut so now look quite respectable. Treated myself to a latte and iced cinnamon bun (my favourite) at M & S but couldn't find anything else I wanted to buy. Wore a mask on the bus as it was packed and in the shops, mainly because we've a hotel booked next week and don't want to cancel. Otherwise I don't think I would have bothered.

Just had time to prune the hydrangeas after lunch and thought I'd pot on two rooted rose prunings. Turned out they were suckers so a bit disappointed.

Enjoy your trip to Iceland @chicky
Hope your repair man can set up your new laptop @Busy-Lizzie
    Have a good evening all.

  • Good evening all,

Just finished work, there is an English film showing at the cinema across the road so we had a few pre-theatre suppers booked. It was one ladies birthday and her husband ordered champagne for her and insisted I had a glass too, tough job here sometimes.

Had quite a few non vaccinated people in today too, all enjoying first opportunity to dine out. One lady was insistent on telling me it's all a hoax and even went as far as to say that we are being fed lies about Putin and not to believe what we are being shown on our TV news. Very difficult to keep smiling at that point.

Glad you have a new computer @Busy-Lizzie, Iceland is on my to -do list @chicky, nice to see lots of you getting a chance to do some gardening. It was windy here so still chilly, but the sun shone all day and is forecast to do so again tomorrow.

Have a good evening all. :)

OH is going to deconstruct the brassica cage today … we need the space for sweetcorn … what we’ll do about housing the Cav Nero later on goodness only knows 🤯

Morning everyone,  lovely bright start here. Can't believe I failed to mention the spring Equinox the other day.  It was only when it was mentioned on the rose thread I realised.  Anyway here's to longer days short nights and lots of gardening.
