I wish I could say the same as you @Busy-Lizzie.  And I suspect one more will be going in the next few weeks - gradually working towards having dentures.  Bad gums - runs in the family.  My mother had all her teeth out in her early 30s.
And on that cheery note - I'm away to my bed.

Hello again everyone.  I’m having a lovely time with Pixel.. yesterday, without warning she slid down from the head rest of my chair onto my lap and settled for a cuddle. Much head rubbing on my hands and purring. 😁. Mind you, she was in trouble the day before. We were both on the front veranda in the sun and she wandered off for a sniff around. Next thing she appeared back on the veranda with a skink between her jaws. I leapt to my feet, yelling at her and telling her what a bad cat she was, and she disappeared around to the back of the house with me hot on her heels.  I caught up with her skulking under the table and no sign of the skink. I can only hope it got away uninjured.  😳. Since then she has been very good. 😁. I hope she got the message.

My three monthly GP visit today, so she will be locked inside while we are in town.

    Good morning all.

Bright and sunny so some serious gardening to get onto today.  An hour's weeding at least (more is just too much).  I have 100 red and white onion seedlings to prepare ground and plant.  I did buy just one - artichoke plant - big green fruit - gros vert de Laon.  In Lidl yesterday, they are 2euros (about £1.30) for one fruit!  I hope your back is okay today @Allotment Boy

Cats eh? @Pat E   Pixel doesn't remember!  I used to tell stressed parents of 14-16 year old girls - they are are just like cats.  No memory, independent and like to be stroked!

Second cuppa then on my way.

My last gaff for yesterday (they come in 3s) was to rip out some borage which was growing next to a few strawberry plants.  Apparently, they are good near strawberry plants as they are anti-fungicide!

    Enjoy your day

A PS to say that petrol/diesel has gone down - 10 days ago it was 2.15c/litre now 1.97c/litre for diesel.  SM goods have skyrocketed!!

    Hi

@Pat E what would Pixel do if she met a snake?

    Good morning all  :D ☕☕☕

It sounds as if you and Pixel are definitely having some fun @Pat E ... but she has to learn that she's not the only honoured house guest!  :open_mouth:

It's another glorious morning full of sunshine and birdsong ... OH is doing a longer day than usual today, but at least he's not opening and locking up. He'll be leaving when he's finished his coffee and back about 5.30.  I was up early with him, so all the 'hwk is done, floors swept etc, bins emptied and washed out etc, and as this evening's supper is pasta carbonara there's not a lot for me to do today other than potter in the garden and put the finishing touches to Aran sweater.  I might even find time to read a book ...  B)

Punkdoc, I’ve been stressing about that possibility ever since she came for her visit, but luckily we’ve been having cold mornings and nights, so the snakes are probably hiding in their burrows.   Fingers crossed. 🤞. She certainly wouldn’t survive a bite.

I had a surprise this morning.  We’ve been restricting our visits to town to once a week to avoid possible Covid risks, so as I already knew that our sliced bread was down to crusts, I was prepared to toast a crust instead of a slice, but when I got up, Hubby was working in the kitchen and I found that he’d made a batch of scones. He’d also cooked up the strawberries that I picked yesterday and had a new supply of strawberry jam to go with them. 😜. Not bad!

My GP visit went well this morning - Bp ok and everything else ok, so next visit in another 3 months. 👏

Now having coffee outside, the mist is lifting and a Song Thrush is singing its heart out, not a bad start to the day.

    Good morning all.

    Your Hubby sounds a treasure @Pat E

Looks lovely outside, blue sky and sunshine. I'll finish planting the perennials then attack the raspberry patch.

Glorious @punkdoc B) .... and thank you @Pat E ... you've reminded me that we've run out of bread and I needed to make a loaf today ... it's being kneaded in the Kenwood as I type ... and the locksmith has phoned ... he's managed to find a supplier with the type of lock and handle we need ... it's  slightly more than he thought it would be  but we have to have it so we'll have to go with that ... he hopes to fit it the end of this week or beginning of next, depending on when it gets to him.  Can't really say fairer than that ...
