    Hi all

Wet and windy here, but a day in front of the rugby is planned, so no bother.
Have fun in Paris @chicky, used to love going for the Prix de L'arc.

I really need to get out and hack lots of stuff back @punkdoc ... but having just had a wander outside when I got the milk in, there's a bitterly cold wind Brrr!  My cousin used to work for Longchamp racecourse ... many moons ago ... she had a great time there.

Morning all and thank you about OH.

I hope he doesn't get a date too soon! I have babysit for Daughter 2 next week and I will need time change my winter tyres and drive back stopping at Daughter  1 in France and stepdaughter in Eastbourne.

I'm at the airport. Ryanair sent an email to ask passengers to be 3 hours early because of huge queues at Security, but I've never seen such a small queue! There are notices asking people to wear masks but hardly anyone is wearing one.

Well good news, but I bet you feel like you’ve been banging your head on a brick wall, @Busy-Lizzie
ooh, I do wish I lived near enough to visit your establishment @D0rdogne_Damsel
Coffee and walnut for OH, and a huge slice of Bakewell tart for me, plus a bag of Hot Cross buns to take home!
Your trip sounds wonderful, @chicky I loved my trip to the Musee d’Orsay! Wish I could remember the name of a painting of a young lady in a black dress. Really caught my eye, the detail was amazing.

Not that one, Dove. I wrote the name down somewhere, but can’t remember where! Just been looking on line but haven’t found it yet. It wasn’t a famous one.

    Hi all.
Oooh, @chicky ... Paris in the Springtime- how wonderful! Paris holds special memories for me and my OH too, although we gloss over the time we had our passports stolen on the Paris Underground!
I hope everyone finds some joy today and the weather stays dry.

Ah, Paris. Sigh. Have fun @chicky.
Glad your OH has got the green light for the op - at last - Busy-Lizzie.  Fingers crossed for a date that enables you to do all you need to do in France first.
Coffee & Walnut cake is my favourite @D0rdogne_Damsel!
It's got right cold here suddenly!  Praying for no rain tomorrow as I'm out all day with my fellow In Bloomers working on a major overhaul of a community garden we look after then.  We've got a skip and everything!  But first - to clear the corner of my kitchen where I do my seed sowing. It's time.

Good afternoon everyone from a very wet and windy area.!

We are on orange alert as buckets are falling and the wind is pushing the rivers back inland from the sea.  We really needed this rain and I hope that there is minimal flooding.  Herault and Aude are the worst hit.  I hope @Busy-Lizzie, @floralies and @D0rdogne_Damsel aren't too affected.  I think @Obelixx you are safe.  (Unless you are making a tart with the leeks on your roof!!)

@chicky   Enjoy your "Paris by Night" weekend.  I love visiting Paris too but apparently there are a lot of shops that have closed down due to lack of tourists re Covid.  We had dinner once in the Jules Verne Restaurant in the Eiffel Tower - très posh - fabulous dinner and fabulous views of Paris.  The Opera area is one of my favourite spots.

An indoorsie "sort of rugby watching on TV" day and hopefully not too much of a yen for sweet things!!

@didyw  I will start my sowings next week when I can see clearly and the rain has gone!

Yes, time for a Wordle.  I have tried Worldle but seem to get it wrong every time.  Still, it's fun to try and guess the country!

I hope @Busy-Lizzie you are home soon and that it's not too wet.  Have you got someone coming to pick you up from the airport?

A pleasant afternoon to you all.

@tui34 - I thought Worldle would help my geography knowledge - and I have a world map open in another tab as well.  But very frustrating when it's not just countries but individual islands that prove to be the answers.
