@punkdoc … we’re rationing ourselves pretty strictly … trying not to watch tv news, listening to the radio is bad enough. Horrendous. Son is waiting to hear if his BIL’s family in Kharkiv are still ok.

Hello @Hostafan1 😊 … does Wurzle have a diagnosis yet?

    Afternoon all,

Been drab and drizzly nearly all day and colder. Do wish we could have some sunny mild days for a few days.

I had to go to SM this morning to re-stock after last Thursday's delivery mishap and to get some things especially for DIL. She likes yoghurt (I can't stand it), lots of fruit and veggie stuff. Saw that they had Levington's multi-purpose compost at £5 per bag or 3 for £10 which I now regret not buying of course. Might try tomorrow. It's the first time I've shopped in our Sainsbury's for two years and I didn't enjoy the experience much, it was busier than I expected, including the carpark.  Much easier to get it all delivered.

Did another hour's gardening until I got rained off.

Worzle has gone back to Uncle Steve to be sorted.
I've got a rather swanky automatic Peugout 108 until he's home.

Hello all, been trying to get a lot of things done in the garden today as rain is forecast for the next week. I know just what you mean @punkdoc about the news, even though I was busy in the garden it kept creeping into my thoughts every now and again. Happy St Davids day to Welsh Forkers, we have leeks with our dinner tonight given to me by our neighbour by coincidence!

    Evening.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were up the road today! They visited some community projects and planted a cherry tree.

Have you seen the MP’s pay rise announcement?
    Listen to this:
it is to reflect their “huge increase in workload from distressed constituents as a result of COVID issues”.
I deleted what I think about that.

Moving on... Pancakes or Welsh Cakes anyone?
My garden and I live in South Wales.

OMG, how very dare those constituents expect their MPs to work for their salaries  and generous expenses?

They'll be needing that pay rise to pay for all their champagne and canapes

Just had our pancakes! First one with some bacon and maple syrup, then a follow up with sugar and lemon juice. Both delicious. Had a busy day transporting the old carpet and underlay down to the garage, while OH finished off the painting.
Avoiding the news, got to keep sane. Have spent some time instead watching a webcam of a bald eagle nest, overlooking Big Bear Lake in California. Very soothing, wonderful to see the patience of whichever eagle is taking its turn at sitting on the nest.
