Surely the fact that the Left think the BBC is too right wing, and the Right think it is too left wing, must mean that it is about right. I would add, that having worked abroad a few times in my life, that many locals relied on the BBC World Service, because they thought it gave them an accurate account of world news.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
We need to remember the Russian propaganda machine has been running for decades, controlling the narrative. It seems the younger, more western influenced, generation are the ones that are protesting against the war and this really tells you everything you need to know. The people who have experienced more democratic culture are the ones more inclined to believe in it.
Our media may have differing views on everything but you can get a balance. It's very hard to get a balanced perspective when free speach is banned. I don't know how it will be spun now more and more of the world are moving against them.
I hope i'm wrong, but i think this crisis has been manufactured by 'the west'. The US has been repeating that they won't defend Ukraine, so giving the green light to Russia to do as they want. As petrol prices rise in the US, voices will rise at home to 'do something' to sort it out. Compared to the US, Russia is a weak military force. A war with Russia will mean huge profits for the US arms manufacturers and their puppy the UK.
Quite a bizarre conclusion that it's been manufactured by the West. It's true perhaps that a believed weakness was spotted and they thought they could get away with an invasion but you can't blame anyone else for one man's war against the innocent.
The US is already looking for alternative sources for oil and gas, such as Venezuela, so there will be no appetite to escalate things with Russia. The reason no country is stepping foot in the Ukraine with military action is because no one wants another world war, especially not one with nuclear deterents. Weapons manufacturers don't need a war as we've seen countries already pledging to step up their defence budgets astronomically. I think the biggest thing for the world will be that this keeps Russia quiet for years and sets their country back decades.

“It's still magic even if you know how it's done.”
