    Morning Dove, SGL and Janet.
SGL, I have not watched the news in full for over 2 years now. It is all so very demoralising and sad. Even handy brother confessed to having a tear in his eye yesterday - he watches the news more than I do. I agree with you about not knowing of Tova Borgnine but I do seem to remember the actor Ernest Borgnine, I seem to remember he played gangster types in films - but I might be mixing him up with Edward G. Robinson!
I am going to help my Canasta friend today - she is hoping that 'sco will have the necessary SIM card for her. Fingers crossed, as she can't go out because of mobility issues, I will have to negotiate for her.
    Its wet here too Janet.

Good Morning everyone, I’m still looking in but my days are not very eventful at the moment 😮‍💨🤧😴
Bluebells Sorry to hear about your table, hope you can find a way to improve the mark left behind by Alfie’s food,
Ante Glad you got all on your shopping list yesterday plus a few extras 😊 OH is fine thank you, he has taken charge of the food shopping and we have had some lovely treats 😋
LB I am pleased you mentioned your Eryngium as I was a bit mystified by those roots when I got them out of the package, I planted mine straight in the ground though 🤭 Hope you can get your Canasta friends new phone set up for her,
Dove Enjoy the tennis today, nice to go back after so long,
Topbird You are doing so well painting all the woodwork, these jobs always snowball!. It is Covid but I don’t know which variant I have contracted, pants is a good description 🥴
SGL The news is so awful, it’s hard to watch what’s happening. Hope the damp weather clears away so you can get outdoors,
Janet Hope you can find something pleasant to do on a wet morning,
Rubee I’m glad you enjoyed your birthday yesterday was that a Sherry trifle? Hope OH is feeling more comfortable with the new dressings,
Hazel I hope the cars MOT went well  yesterday without costing too many £££’s and you have got it back,
    Have a good day everyone.

Morning T'Bird and Ruby, you snuckered in there. T'Bird, you will be pleased when it is finished and you can stow away your brushes until the next time. Ruby, you are so lucky to have sun. I don't need tell you what it is still doing here.
Morning Chive. I put my Erygiums into pots as I have yet to decide where to put them in the border and I have bulbs still to open up which I don't want to disturb. Yes, funny gnarly roots and mine had some weak yellow spindly growth on them. Hopefully these will drop off and allow healthier growth to come through. Outside the back door I can keep an eye on them. They've joined the Rodgersia and the Ligularia (still waiting for the drier bed for them to go in). I hope that you continue to recover Chive. Take care of yourself.

    Morning all,

Marti is back after yesterday's glorious weather :(

He's already marked down as a "high-intensity caller" @Ladybird4 and the main protagonist in a "neighbour dispute". I asked the PCSO who came to my house at what point they ignore the boy who cries wolf or, more satisfyingly, charge him with wasting police time. He didn't answer that directly, but pointed out that he'd sent his colleague to Nutjob Neighbour's house because, if he went, he'd struggle to avoid telling him exactly what he thought of him.

It's the first time that I've been involved as it's next door who he has waged his phoney war with over the last few years.

Don't overdo it, d-fab - that club sounds like it was made for me with my 'gammy knees' :D

Off on r-a-a-f duties shortly so no gardening again today. A dozen phlox plugs and a photinia 'red robin' arrived during the mayhem yesterday. I've never bought plugs before but they look healthy enough. Bunged them in pots for now as some of them are destined for sister's garden.

    Afternoon everyone,
@ladybird I've not heard of Ernest Borgnine either 🤷‍♀️ Hope you manage to sort your friends phone out for her. My new phone was supposed to arrive yesterday, but we had an email from D#* saying there was a delay and they would deliverit today 🤦‍♀️
@Biglad Hope all gets sorted soon with the neighbours
@Songbird-1 hope all goes well with MOT and you get it back ASAP and not too £££
It's stopped raining, but it's very chilly.

    Afternoon all.

LB, I must be honest ad say that I yesterday bought few already prepared frittelle. Didn't have time or will to do it myself.

Lovely sunny afternoon, still rather cold. It's nice from inside where sun spreads warmth thru window. Today I'll not sow or plant anything what I purchased. Now is time for lunch and small siesta.

Afties all. Back from sorting out my friend's new mobile, which did involve a trip to 'sco where a super young lady provided me with a new SIM card. My friend had made some delicious soup and crusty rolls for my dinner. It went down a treat. Managed to get home before the rug rats get out of school.
Still got Marti here Biglad. Hope you haven't got too wet in your r-a-t-f duties. Dove has the right idea playing indoors. 10/10 for that PCSO. His probable reaction might have produced another thing for Nutjob to ring up and complain about.
SGL, you are obviously far too young!
Hazel, I think I will be getting my knitting out soon.
Ante, I am glad that you got your frittelle, even though they were bought. I bet yours are nicer though.

    Hello all.

    I'm sorry you have Covid @Chivetalking, I hope it's a mild dose.

Friends, 2 couples, came for coffee this morning. It was a good chat session, they stayed for 2 hours.

OH has gone to get petrol and bread so I have the Laptop! Done Wordle. Read the papers, but that's almost as bad as watching the News on TV at the moment.
