Don't know if this is of any help @Joyce Goldenlily

If you threaten them with the Ombudsman that might have a surprising effect, but there are stages you have to go through before tgey can get involved (see link).
  • Thank you for the suggestions. We have a very good radio helpline, and also an excellent TV helpline which I am considering. Name and shame sought of thing.
I should have the black sacks collected some time this week and the recycling collected on Friday. Wre shall see. Last chance as far as I'm concerned.

Police breaking up queues of people trying to sign up for a dentist....
You couldn't make it up - Hancock could have made a good half hour out of that...

I don't think it's actually that simple.  The footage on the news showed people queuing across roads and blocking access to premises.  I understand their desperation to get access to a dentist, but common sense seems to fly out the window at times.

political but very true and very real for those who can't even get on a waiting list to get onto a dental practice patient list.

I received a handwritten condolences card from the vets in the post yesterday. I'm not sure if it's a usual part of the service as I'm quite friendly with one of the receptionists there so she might have sent it. They did charge me £157 for the quick injection in the back of my car though so I'm expecting a condolences card from my bank next. :#
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

I was talking a 33 year old man yesterday.
His landlord put his rent up so much he couldn't afford it. ( he's a farm worker ).
He can't find anything he can afford so went to the tory council to ask for help.
" all we can offer is a tent and a sleeping bag "
This is what tory britain looks like.
    Utterly shameful.

I took my AG parrot to Bristol Vet. Hospital in 2012 - some £500 later after various xrays/scans, he had to be euthanised.  He'd been part of my life for 40 years and the vet involved obviously realised I was pretty upset.  I also received a card signed by the staff involved.
Nowt from my bank tho  :/
