Hmmm, I'm not sure that is a big enough plus to sway me. 😉
Talking of getting wet, beautiful day here ... so I took a break for my daily walk. Sky suddenly blackened and it tipped down. Now I am home and it is all blue sky loveliness out there again. This has not improved my grumpiness.
@ViewAhead Have you also noticed that on a dull day you need to switch a light on - sun immediately appears - you hover about trying to decide whether you can get away with switching off - you do - seconds later sun vanishes and you are left fumbling for the light switch again
Just had a message from OH's niece. SIL has had another stroke so was sent to hospital where they found a blood clot on her brain but had no beds so sent her home!
I know Worcester hospital has a bad rep but surely this is beyonnd the pale? She's been having these for years now, has lost enough sight in one eye to mean she can no longer drive and has difficulty with speach. Surely she should be being mintored and having frequent health and blood checks and certainly not be sent home with no treatment.
NHS at its best?

@Obelixx, that's just awful! Surely Worcester could or should have organised a transfer to another hospital but I know from my brother's experience in Lincoln (he lived in Stoke) that the hospitals don't seem very good at communicating with each other.
I fear not @Lizzie27. She's been on warfarin for about 20 years after a diagnosis of atrial fibrillation which can lead to strokes. She's not the type to question medics or say Boo to any goose and, as far as I know, there has been no discussion of diet or exercise to manage her condition.
She's had several stroke episodes in the last few years and, as far as I can see, nothing has changed in her care. I've suggested she ask questions, modify her diet, do exercise but the idea of confronting such things is beyond her.

I had a close friend like that @Obelixx with an incurable lung condition, same age as me. She wouldn't question anything, thought the GP was God, did what her husband told her to do and died at 64 because he wouldn't or didn't want to believe she was dying. The last time I saw her, a fortnight before she died, she'd been taken into hospital for observation as her medical stats were all over the place. She was placed on a general ward instead of a single room, caught norovirus twice and then suffered a massive heart attack the day I was going to see her.
You know, when one of the kids loses a toy, and we look for the toy for a while and find two other toys that we didn't know they had lost but we found them anyway, it's generally a good day. The same cannot be said of dead bodies
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
I was approaching a zebra crossing earlier today and noticed the driver heading towards me was on his phone. He then pulled up on the crossing to have his conversation, completely blocking it. Why is there never a copper around when you need one?

Hope your SIL will be okay.

I still feel furious about it.
