Well @wild edges he was also a Covid denier and anti vaxxer. Clearly his brain cells have a wiring problem.
was he? Interesting. I've never liked him - I used to watch the programme Coast until he started turning up on it. Not because I knew of his political views. I just found his 'look at me' way of presenting intensely irritating. I imagine his political statements will be for much the same reason. Completely self absorbed

What forum is that? Sounds like it's a good place for morons to interact.
I won’t be specific, @B3, because I fear it could be the neighbourhood of some forum members but I’ll just say it is about 150 miles South West of Rutland. “Person 1” works as a gardener/landscaper!
I splashed out on a replacement nail file a couple of days ago. It turned up that afternoon. I'd been looking for it and forgetting to buy a new one for a fortnight.
Poor, or more accurately a virtual complete lack of, communication in hospital is driving my wife nuts. As I mentioned previously, she finally had the operation on Wednesday and it seems all went well. Her sister was with her when the doctor came round post-op and said she would need to have another x-ray before starting physio. Later the same day another doctor came round and said physio would start the following day. When my wife queried this because of what she had previously been told, the doctor checked and confirmed that the notes stated that the next x-rays would be done prior to discharge. Even the nurses queried it but as that's what has been put on the notes, that is what they will do. The physio didn't actually come round until Friday rather than Thursday. We explained our concerns again but she was happy that physio could start. Thankfully there has been no adverse reaction so the notes would seem to have been right. It was only a very short physio session to see if my wife could walk with a frame. As she was leaving the physio said somebody else would be up on Saturday morning either to do more with the frame or try my wife on crutches. Nobody arrived so one of the nurses tried to contact physios from about midday onwards. When I left at 4pm they has still not been able to get anybody so we're guessing nothing will happen today, and probably not tomorrow either. As my wife also has to be able to get up and down stairs before they will let her out, God knows when that might be. My wife will have been sat in bed for 8 days by Monday and that won't help.
On a positive note we have nothing but praise for the staff on the ward and in A&E.
That's pretty awful @KT53. After my knee surgery I had an X-ray once post op recovery was satisfactory and before going up to the ward. A late lunch came next then my first physio session. Two more physio sessions on each of the 2 following days plus visits form anaestehtist and the surgeon to check all was well and then home on the 4th. Physio will go on for months.

That's really bad treatment @KT53 as it's so important to get out of bed asap after an op. OH was out of bed on crutches the morning after his early evening op and walking down the corridor (private hospital paid by the NHS).
We found similar in A & E, staff would come round and ask if you needed/wanted anything, more painkillers, food/drink/loo visit, you told them and they then disappeared for about an hour or so (we timed it once). I was desperate for the loo but couldn't get off the bed and the inevitable happened which was extremely embarrassing. To add to that indignity, a young male nurse then came to help the female nurse mop me up, change my underwear and sheets etc. The curtains weren't fully closed either. I wasn't asked if I minded.
