A [virtual] prize if you know the connection between the lead singer and a famous crime drama. Can't believe it's taken 474 previous records for #The Night to make it into J's Jukebox. Superb song.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I don't know what you're all talking about but I'm really glad he's still knocking about. I really felt he was speaking to me in the olden days with my tranny under the bedclothes. That's a real talent for radio presenters. Not many have it. PS. I believe tranny means something else now. Just to be clear. I meant transistor radio.
My daughters still don't really believe me about the grief he got over the infamous "Bay City Rollers incident" back then. I don't blame them - when you look at what gets broadcast unnoticed now!
What was that Fairygirl, I can't remember it?
What's all this about S&G and Frinton Flashers? People behave yourselves it's Sunday.
Google it @Uff. There's stuff on you tube etc that will explain if you really want to know. But I think you needed to be there. Not necessarily at Frinton. It was a connection between the lonely pirates and what passes for civilisation. I read somewhere then, that Frinton banned ice cream vendors. If there's any justice in the world there's now a dozen chicken shops with one score in the door
Back in the day Frinton-on-sea certainly banned fish & chips shops … it was very Hyacinth Bucket back then … slightly better now, but many of the inhabitants still have ‘pretentious of grandeur’ 🤣
@Uff - the accompanying video for one of their pitiful songs had them sitting on a Rolls Royce. When they [thankfully] dropped from the No 1 spot, Johnnie announced the new No 1 with a reference to them being knocked off their Roller at the top of the chart. Hard to believe he got a real roasting for it.
They made me ashamed to be Scottish, that shower
Forgot - a wee clue for @punkdoc. 'There's been a murrrrderrr....'

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

I thought he was adopted by the parents of the Taggart actor?
