    Smaller than I expected a praying mantis to be (maybe 1.25" total length).

    Backlit Large White on Verbena, though I'm more than happy to be corrected on the species as I'm not 100% on the Butterfly ID.

    @Fire thanks...the camera is a 12yr old Canon 7D paired to a Canon 100mm f2.8 Macro lens.

    The previous fly shots used the same combo but with a Raynox DCR 150 Achromat attached.
