Thanks. The amount of berries this year is ridiculous. The hawthorn trees are bright red in the sun because they're holding so many berries.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Found on the shop-window of my local optician this morning. An Ichneumonidae sp.?

Looks menacing...but in a good way, nice iridescence on the wings.
  • Love that pic 😊

Another great shot @Sheps, bravo! "found in the bathroom on the scales..." and moved to an environment better suited for a "natural" photo?  ;)

And returned to a more natural environment upon release @Papi Jo

Though I thought he owed me a couple of shots for my efforts  ;)

We get a lot of them in the summer, but this is the first time I saw one in the winter, 6.01. I wonder if it woke up because of the relative warm couple of days we’ve just had.

What do you call a young Jewish person? A Juniper.
I took the dog to the vets today and found this crawling on him while we were in the waiting room. It's a Juniper Shield Bug and he must have picked it up in the car park somehow. I couldn't take it back outside without giving the dog false hope of a pre-vet exit so it now lives in one of their potted plants. :#

Such a lovely, colourful creature. I'm sure your vet will appreciate your gift, not to mention their potted plants. >:)
