Thanks that looks a pretty moth as well as caterpillar
Saw a slow worm today on allotment road when I went to get some bark chippings - I moved it to the grass edge Saw a small green caterpillar I think on the black plastic - I was folding up untill my chicken came along and had it - gone Great photos all
That is one of the best images ever to be posted on this thread @NormandyLiz an outstanding image with perfect light and colours.
Wow, thank you Sheps. Although I think many of your shots are better.
I was really pleased to get that shot, though. The bees and butterflies are just all over the aster, I didn't know where to point next. Thankfully I was pointing in the right direction just at that moment.
It is all go in the garden at the moment. There are bees, hoverflies and butterflies everywhere. We're having a warm and dry spell, few and far between this year, and with plenty of late summer flowers they're having a field day, to say the least
This was fascinating. He hovered there for easily 10 minutes, while I went inside to get the camera and wasn't fussed by me clicking away. Then he was bombed by another and that broke up the party
