    I have a couple in the garden on aphid duty.

    Small Magpie moth  ( actually a micro moth but its actually bigger than some macro moths)
    Aww, thank you, I was already wondering what this beauty is called. Looked her up, we don’t have any plants in our garden that normally would be useful for her caterpillars (blackthorn, hawthorn, currant and gooseberry bushes), but maybe it was raspberry - of which we have plenty. 
    She was gently captured off the ceiling and placed in a shady part of the garden where she can hopefully rest until dusk.

    Not as attractive as the one you found @wild edges, but does anyone know what species this is please?
