Dove, ouch indeed. In the main I don't get back problems, this is the sacroiliac region,so hurts back to front so to speak. I do have a brilliant osteopath, but it's a 60 round trip. Not willing to risk a local one, gave hubby more problems. The one I use is now 3td generation, and the receptionist has been there over 40 years,I think that days it all. Oldest daughter is a qualified masseuse, but same distance. She got rid of the couch. Actually gave herself back problems, doing the massage

    Good morning everyone.

Beautiful day - NO WIND!!! Yaaay!   Morning Dove @Dovefromabove , Nanny @Nanny Beach  Easy on the lifting and moving heavy objects!  Lizzie @Busy-Lizzie.  I hope you have plenty of good red wine to marinate that rooster when you catch him!

Not an early start because I was awake during the night, reading.  Finally drifted off sometime after 5.15am.  Off to the DIY shop this morning to get materials for my builder neighbour (yes, we are surrounded by useful folk).  He is going to replace the tiles that blew off the garage during Monday's fierce winds.   Ping ping ping - like the Wordle green tiles!!

Snow looking ideal @D0r@D0rdogne_Damsel as does the sky.  Glad you are making the most of the faculties.  It may just do the trick and loosen away the stress.

Have a pleasant day whatever you are up to!  My peas aren't up yet!

PS  Afternoon @Pat E  The dryer would be a useful object where you are.  Here at the bottom of France, we use the sun to dry fruit such as figs and vegetables such as tomatoes and I also part dry my tomato concentrate to a sort of pastry texture.  Saves place in the freezer.  I put it into jars with a layer of oil to seal, then lid of course.  Have an enjoyable evening.

I always am tui. I started nursing in 1972 old fashioned metal beds they didn't move. We lifted the patients in and out. I never had any problems with the back. This was a tiny bend down, with the merest of twists by the door of the dishwasher. Usually,it goes off after a very short time.

    Ouch @Nanny Beach 😢

Ive just discovered I’ve made a boo-boo… I’ve put pancake stuff in the heading of this thread, but this year Shrive a Tuesday is 1st March 😬 🤪
In France pancake day, Chandeleur, was 2nd February, so there is one for each month 😄😜

Dull but quite warm here this morning. Shoulders have eased a bit, so I’ll have another goin the garden today. Maybe a walk first though, otherwise OH won’t get any exercise. So glad you are having a good time, @D0rdogne_Damsel, and recovered well enough to enjoy it.
Hope the back recovers quickly, @Nanny Beach
Wish pancakes hadn’t been mentioned, I seem to have a lot of milk in the fridge and OH just loves them. Maybe an extra pancake day for us!
  • Morning everyone,  typical,  now we are home it's a nice bright sunny start to the day.
Glad the holiday is going well @D0rdogne_Damsel.  Take it easy @Nanny Beach
It looks like I have to go back to the GC with the fan heater. There is supposed to be a fan only function but I can't get it to work  whatever setting I put it on.

The shitfest that is my life continued this morning when a guy drove into me. Thanks for that.
Nobody hurt, except wee Worzle the van.
I'm glad you're both having a wonderful, well deserved break @D0rdogne_Damsel, but I'd rather have @chicky 's holiday destination.

I'm so pleased you recovered in time for your skiing trip @D0rdogne_Damsel - looks stunning!  And real snow - I worry about that stuff they are using in Beijing - where will it go after the Winter Olympics?
    Gorgeous view @Pat E
Two pancake days sounds like a good idea @Dovefromabove.
I still haven't got my pictures on the walls after buying lots of frames the other day. First of all - lost a pair of screw eyes so had to buy more. Local art shop and local ironmongers didn't have them so had to order online. They arrived quickly but oh so fiddly to screw into the frames.
Went to hang the first painting yesterday.  Also v. fiddly getting the hooks into the wall. Bent two pins and went to open new packet from the 4 we bought - gone!  They were on the table.  Now just gone!  How can things just disappear like that?
