Oops.   Made to fit here @tui34 and I asked for slightly taller cos all the French ready mades I looked at are designed for shorter women.  I'm 167cms and found myself bending uncomfortable in the kitchen that was here when we moved in.

So am I 1m67.  Just check that the unit will fit, that's all.

It will.  They're made to measure locally and our dossier is still held there as the units have a 10yr guarantee so we can get the correct fronts if I do decide to go with new drawers instead of a new dishwasher or a repaired dishwasher.   Doubt if we'll go the repair route tho as this Electrolux thing is not as good as the older Bosch nor as flexible as we can alter the basket height in the Bosch to accommodate large plates or tall glasses or even both if we put it on a slant.

Never buying Electrolux again.   We've had to replace the grill in the oven as its fixings gave way after rusting in condensation from roasting and baking.   Never had that before.

It has turned very windy and unpleasant now.  All the chooks are in the rose beds on the east side of the house and sheltered from the worst of the westerly wind after helping themselves to all the bird seed dropped from the table we have there.

I've had to put triple rations out again cos the little brown jobs and tits are hoovering food up at the mo and water too.  Building up energy for mating and nest building no doubt.

Afternoon all, after a lovely sunny and warm morning, it's now turned windy and grey and probably going to rain soon.

We had an outing to a GC earlier as I needed manure and compost plus two new big blue matching pots. They had the former but not the latter which is a nuisance but does mean more GC visiting. the cafe was packed and we enjoyed coffee and tiffin for a treat. Did us good to get out and about for a bit in the sunshine. I had intended to do some gardening after lunch but don't like the look of the weather now.

I'm with Obelixx on the NHS, can be very good or it can be b....y awful. It's not a religion and the US aren't trying to get their mitts on it. It's a too large, too top heavy organisation which needs some efficient re-organisation, rather like the present government. The waste is colossal.

  • @Lizzie27, I am sorry but I have to disagree,  the NHS has been reorganised to death. It needs leaving alone to get on with the job,  and stop having bl**dy management consultants crawling all over it every 5 years or so wasting millions,  cutting whole teirs of staff to only realise a few years later they were needed,  by which time all the experience has gone. I know it's not perfect and it can be a postcode lottery,  which is awful for those who get the bad end of things.
Sorry this should be on the curmudgeon thread
