Morning everyone Raining and quite windy here this morning. Forecast is it's here for the day. I'm not going anywhere again today. We were supposed to see the poppets, but we've all decided it's better to leave for another day. The wind is picking up speed as I type. @Ladybird4 & @Chivetalking son was definitely lucky with the flying fence panel. It landed in the middle of his garden on the grass and hadn't caught anything. The panel looked new and not damaged in the photo he sent me. He has no idea where it belongs, he's asked both neighbours either side of him and it's not theirs 🤷♀️ just so very grateful they weren't out in the garden when it flew in the garden. @Busy-Lizzie Safe journey home. I'm sure ýou've had a lovely time with your friends, but are looking forward to being nice and warm in your own home. @Ante30 hope furniture building goes well. Hope the weather improves for you soon. @Ladybird4 glad you're feeling better this morning, take care. @Chivetalking hope the wind isn't too bad where you are and no more damage to the garden. @Rubee hope you can stay warm today and the snowfall isn't too bad. @bluebellsintherain sorry to hear it's been a blustery night, hope you managed some sleep. @Topbird enjoy your day out, hope the weather isn't too bad for your journey. Take care.
I'm going to do a bit of unmentionables.....just a quick flick and whizz round with the sucky thing and then a lazy day with Suduku, reading and watching TV Enjoy your day whatever you do, take care and stay safe.
Good Morning SGL, That was so lucky the panel landed on the grass, sounds like it must have travelled a fair distance. Shame not to see your poppets today but a sensible decision, hope you get to see them all soon for extra cuddles.
It is blowy but no rain…yet! I’ve stood up the pot and wedged it🤞
Hello everyone ... wet and blustery here ... roll on spring sunshine and April showers ... but we have March winds to visit us first, as if we've not had enough already!!! Enjoy your outing Topbird ... love lots of monumental cast iron work
I've got bread proving and a potato and leek dauphinoise ready to go in the oven when the bread comes out ... it'll be perfect with our Barnsley chops No real plans for the rest of the day ... it's still feels like 'hunkering down' sort of weather.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Seems the forecast this morning was wrong so it has been updated to be worse. Winds into 50s lasting until noon tomorrow and likelihood of rain upped to 100% for most hours
Storm Franklin is on his way. Actually SGL, he may have arrived here as its torrenting down and my neighbour's Leylandii is being thrashed about again.
Hazel I remember those loopy days with pupils during the windy weather.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
We are back in Norfolk. It was wet and very windy but OK. Not as much damage as I expected to see en route. The cover has blown off the garden table and a chair has blown over but I think that's all. We've turned the heating up and OH has lit the wood burner.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Glad you're safely back home @Busy-Lizzie won't take long for you and OH to warm up. Glad there's no damage to your garden. @Songbird-1 how lovely to see 23 today. Perhaps he was excited to see your new sofa 😉 funny how sometimes they're like a little whirlwind 🥰 Its been raining all day here and so very windy. Its bin day tomorrow, but I'll put ours out in the morning and hope I don't miss them. Sometimes they come quite early.
I'm over with all assembling and now is time for rest a bit. Later must visit my neighbour. He asked my if I can buy him a bag of chicken manure, which I did. After I deliver it, we will have a cup of coffee 😉. Hope that you all have peaceful Sunday.

Another day in front of the TV is highly likely.

Hazel, how nice surprise to see your son and 23.
Bussy, I'm glad that you safely arrived home.
