Good morning Rosie and all to follow.

Rosie, indeed I enjoyed my coffee with neighbour. I didn't stay long, because today is school and my favorite day in the week.😂

Debs, I'm sorry to hear that you have rough time. Hope that all goes well for you and your daughter.

Grey and rainy morning. At least it's warm, but gain impossible to work anything outside. I hope that I'll not see snow again this year, but chances are low.
Now is time for tea (the real one) and preparation for school.

Have a nice day and stay safe.

Good morning RosieBB, Ante and all to arrive later. I've been awake since 02:00 listening to the tiles on my roof rattling. Its been a scary night. Once the light arrives I will nip out to see that all is OK in the the gardens and that my bins are still the right way up.
RosieBB I'm glad you are keeping warm with your own living hot water bottle beside you.
Ante, these unfavourite days of your seem to come around very quickly!
Hazel, my snow only lasted one day and it wasn't forecast for here either. None of my rellies who are a bit further south had any - just lots of rain. One of my brothers, his wife, their daughter and her family are going away for a weeks holiday today - I don't envy them!
T'Bird, glad to hear that you had an interesting and informative day at the pumping station. Yes, I too learned a few new words which were NOT shared with my pupils - they probably knew them already anyway.

Morning Ruby. You were lucky to be able to sleep through it all. I can see a lazy day coming along today. Could be more knitting though I really need to go to the SM for Lily food.

    Good morning all.

I'm glad you had a good and interesting day @Topbird though it wouldn't be my choice of a place to visit!

It is still very windy here. We may go to the SM, need fruit and veg. There are a couple of meals in the freezer but we'll buy some more meat and fish too.

Good morning Chive, SGL and Busy.
Chive, with these winds the small people will be fizzing in school today. Round here the schools are starting their half term breaks this week.
Thank goodness you got an alert you might be having a power cut SGL - forewarned is forearmed.
I'll wait until the rush hour dies down a bit and then might think about a quick SM dash.

  • Hello all … glad you all seem to still have your roofs on … just about 😉 Think ours is ok … to be honest I’ve not looked … I’m still drinking coffee in bed … a late start today … OH is just putting his waterproofs on to cycle down to Wrose … he could pick up some fruit and veg for you @Busy-Lizzie  … we don’t actually need anything but there’s some bits and pieces we could make use of and he feels the need to get some exercise so he’ll do a quick pedal down to the village and back.
Keep safe and warm folks … 😊

  • The wind is really picking up here, its almost as bad as Friday.  I'll have to keep an eye out for when the bin men arrive and bring the bin back in straight away, or it could end up down the road......worse still in the pond! 😂
We have food delivery this morning, I wonder if they have everything and what time they get here in this weather. I'm not going anywhere today, wouldn't fancy going out in this wind, I'd probably get blown away.
    Take care and stay safe.
