When I went down my garden yesterday I noticed a piece of facing board was hanging loose. I went to put it back into place thinking I could just get a hammer and nail and sort it out. I discovered that the board was completely rotten and therefore would need replacing. Job for handy brother I thought. Then I had a bit of a brainstorm, I use my garage far more than I use the shed - in fact I cannot remember the last time I went into the shed - so I'm thinking of removing it and getting more garden area to plant things in - handy brother required again. I've had a word to him and he is up for it. Not an immediate task but I will also give thought to hiring a mini skip for the rubbish.

Good morning Chive, you weren't there when I just posted. I think that is a lovely suggestion by SGL. I guess it all depends on whether the stump of the old tree can be removed succesfully by the gardener.

Sorry SGL, my mistake. It was you who mentioned Mother's Day. I have edited my post.

  • No worries @Ladybird4 thought we'd had the same idea 😁

    Good morning all.

It's a shame about your Mum's cherry tree @Chivetalking, but it would be lovely for you to replace it. Then the sentimental value will continue.

We have friends coming for dinner tonight. I'm going to make Moroccan lamb stew followed by blackberry and apple pie.

    Morning all,

Our VM connection was down again this morning :( It came back just after 9am but I've now started a spreadsheet on exactly when it's been off. OH is being unleashed onto them shortly ;) God help 'Kevin' or 'Sharon' in the Mumbai call centre :DΒ

Does that mean it's your birthday, Hazel? If so, then Happy Birthday 😘
