  • I'm having a relaxing afternoon, @Chivetalking after going on a longish walk. Whilst having some tea, I'm puzzling as to what to make for tonight's meal. I've got as far as roast potatoes...
  • Afternoon Hazel thank you yes that is a lovely idea. It was an old tree covered in lichen so it’s glory days were numbered, she will miss the view especially the blossom such a shame. I still can’t believe how lucky that landing was, if it had gone backwards through the fence it would have been in the road. Doesn’t bear thinking about.
Janet Nice that you’ve been able to get out for a walk, yes it’s that time of day to think about the evening meal, roast potatoes are a good start 😋👍

Goodness me Chive. That was a very fortunate occurrence but I can understand your Mum's sadness. There wil be memories tied up in that tree.
My Bestie sent me several pics of her daughter's car that has been trashed by ridge tiles falling off the roof of her house. Nightmare job.
Hazel, I bet your towelling things are soft and fluffy. Its great getting them in the wind.

The weather has been wet windy and cold here . I did some inside jobs .Then I read for a couple of hours . Bruno is sitting on my knee. He seems quite well but he is not keen on the sachet food that the vet prescribed .He is  eating the kibbles I hope they won’t cause problems .Still have some antibiotics left to give him. This benign little cat turns into a tiger when we are trying to give him medication . Even the vet wasn’t successful. She said do your best. Time for a cuppa .

They all become tiny little tigers where medication is concerned Ruby. The scientists should come up with antibiotics that taste like the most delicious meal ever. Lily gets a long acting antibiotic injection whenever she requires one.

    Good evening all.

LB, I'm sorry to hear that you didn't slept last night. Hope that this night will be more peaceful to you.

Chive, what a luck for your mother's green house and fence.

Weather is quite awful. High wind, rain and thunders. I didn't expect storm like this, because it was not forecasted. There is probably snowing in the hills. I'll have my last cup for today and watch tv. Despite all, I managed to sow few things.

LB Bruno had an antibiotic injection that would last two week but with him having a bone infection he needed something stronger .I will be so pleased when the antibiotics are finished .
  • Well, we had home made burgers and green beans, Songbird. Not very imaginative, but quite tasty.
I've been watching footage on the local news of flood damage and wind damage. Heartbreaking.
I'm sorry if anyone here on GW had suffered the effect of the storm.

Oh cats and pills... it's never easy, is it?

Tee hee Hazel, why do you keep calling Ruby's cat Jasper? His name is Bruno. Do you know a Jasper cat? My Bestie's son's cat is called Jasper.
I am signing out for tonight, its quiz night and I want to get my brain in gear. I hope that you all have pleasant evenings with no disturbances from wild weather.

Evening all - more painting done today followed by lots of cleaning. Last day tomorrow then I might tackle something else unless the weather picks up enough to be outside.

Rubee - good luck with Bruno - bit of a nightmare if he won't eat his special food.

Chive - how fortunate was that tree landing where it did?

LB - sorry to hear about Bestie's daughter's car. Such a trial to sort out.

On which note - it's been windy as heck here and we now need a new fence for the whole length of our back garden. Our neighbour on the other side needs a new one too. Fed up to the back teeth with one thing going wrong after another.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
