Thank you for your good wishes I went round to mums and had a sleep there, a very comfy bed and many toppers. Three cats joined me and Bruno was snuggled up to me providing some comfort for his tooth ache. Back home washed and in pyjamas. Lily I hope oh enjoyed his Pilates. Lovely pictures thank you. LB I hope resting has you on the mend and your feeling less sniffly. Ante let’s hope the seeds grow. LB it was good that handy brother could go in person after finding out about the case. I’m sure the lady concerned appreciated his visit. It will be lovely for you to have a look, a special find. Top bird a wild and very gusty day today. I think the roads could be strewn with bins in the following days. Chive I put my heavy boots on before I stepped out. Take care. Hazel if your looking in sending good wishes to you. Dove I like carrots and swede mashed together with butter and pepper. Top bird it’s lovely for you to have mums scarf and traces of her perfume.
Afternoon everyone, it’s very blustery, Enjoy your girly lunch today Busy, hope the roof fix is not needing urgent attention at the moment,
Topbird Yes it is the half term holiday this week, nice to have free time.It sounds like you’ve been very busy in the garden, a full bin ready for the next load,
LB Such a happy ending to the saga of the mystery case, that was lovely to hear how it all worked out so well for handy brother collecting it in person from the kind lady.
SGL Your flowers are so pretty, the snowdrops are simply beautiful to see, Time to put the kettle on, have a nice afternoon everyone.
Hello SGL. Thank you so much for sharing all your lovely pictures with us. None of my rhodies are anywhere near flowering like yours just yet - lots of fat flower buds though. (Just remembered Chive, still no Daphne flowers). I have got loads of snowdrops in flower and some primroses too. I love this time of year when everything is waking up!
Yes, SGL, T'Bird and Chive, I cannot wait to see the case and its contents. I'm sure there will be a scent of Dad there too.
Biglad, I bet you are visualising your new plants in your border-in-waiting!
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I am @Ladybird4. I'm even more confused now I'm taking a few plants to my sister tomorrow (as part of the birthday celebrations) so she'll be getting some. As part of the service she just points where she wants them and some fool does the graft
The binfluencers have gone early folks
For us, tomorrow is the plastic/glass/can bin collection and we have the first faller. Unless I've got bottles growing in the rose bed?
Can't believe how much noise a few bits of rubbish blowing around outside the front room window can make!
Nice purchases Biglad - big fan of hellebores here. Bought most of mine as tiny cheap (but named) plug plants but they made decent sized plants within a couple of seasons. The flowers are starting to open up nicely at the moment.
Latest news on the m/home front: the engineer working on it has tested positive today, so he'll be off until at least Monday🤦♀️
And on a similar note: Last week my brother tested positive, as did OH's karting buddy (on Sunday), as did my dentist today (I had a check up tomorrow).
So glad the numbers are heading in the right direction.....😬
PS - Everyone's OK
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Seriously T'Bird, this has been a truly horrible time for you and your OH, where you seem to have been thwarted at every turn and this latest news is like the final straw. I would be besides myself by now. Thinking about you and your OH.

As a welcome diversion, I've just taken delivery of 9 small hellebores and a Magnolia 'fairy blush', which is obviously very exciting!

SGL, thank you for posting such beautiful photos. Love your rhododendron.
LB, I'm glad that you and your brother finally have your father case. Such a lovely surprise was inside.
It's time for dinner and tea. I didn't sow my tomatoes today. Maybe tomorrow.
