We're going to charge our mobiles in a mo. I've also got torches, candles and matches at the ready as they are warning of power cuts. Could be a sandwich for our meal tonight 😕

Oh heck - just seen we're now on the fringes of the new red weather warning area. I think SGL & Chive must be right in it. Hope you're ok you two. I'm off out in a moment to make sure the compost bin lids are properly secured and tuck a few things into the shelter of the house.

Ante, Lily did not get her treats - yet. We go through the same performance every day. I get up first, prepare Lily's food; she comes down and licks up all the gravy around her food and leaves the lumps. She then sits and looks at me or when really desperate, jumps on my knee and bats my face with her paw. When I don't give in she retires upstairs and I don't see her again until about lunch time. When she comes down then she rolls on the carpet doing her 'look at me, aren't I cute' act and I then usually give in. I'm a soft touch really.
Chive, no need for any apologies, no one is EVER overly chatty on this thread. That is what Rez is here for. Is it your Mum you are feeling anxious about Chive? I hope that all goes well with her appointment.
SGL, every time I hear that there may be power cuts I make a note to buy myself one of those little gas powered camping stoves - never done it yet, that is still on my 'to do' list. One of these days I'll get round to it. Then I will probably never, ever have another power cut!

Good morning. I hope everyone is suitably rested. It's awfully quiet here weatherwise, but some rain and possibly snow is forecast- gulp! We're supposed to go to Aldi this afternoon, not sure it'll be wise to venture out. I hope everyone is safe today.
Our journey was OK yesterday, apart from the bit where the Sat Nav didn't know the new road and we got lost, but my phone put us back on the right track.
We had a good evening with our friends and their bed is very comfy. The wind is howling around their house, not far from Swindon.
We had to put the bins out yesterday because if not being their today. NDN said she'd keep an eye on them.
I hope everyone keeps safe and there is no damage.

It was supposed to be this afternoon, then last night they said midday. Then at nine they said around 10. I'm hoping its going to depart quite quickly and no damage. I’m just hoping my OH & son get home from work safely they are both out & about today.
Janet Hope you are not needing to go out later, SGL That’s good have to have emergency hot water for tea, you are well prepared. I think I might put the kettle on, tea anyone? ☕️ 🍪
