Good morning Rosie, LB and all to follow.

Rosie, I'm sorry to hear that you have migraine. Hope that you will be better today.

LB, I never liked hokey, same as basketball. My favorite is ski jumping.

After yesterday's grey day we have sun. It's a bit chilly outside. I hope that pets food will arrive. Birds ate all grain mixture,s o now I have only lard balls. Also, I'll sow one tomato variety. I thought that I lost those seeds, but find them in the bottom drawer. It's old seeds, but I'll give them a chance.

Have a nice day and stay at warm.

Good morning SGL. The wind is blowing an absolutely hooley here but at least its dry at the moment. Good decision to stay in I think.
Ante, I love the ski jumping too. I am really enjoying these games. You could be lucky with your tomato seeds so you'll have to let us know how they grow. I am doing more seed sowing today, short, hardy perennials. Never grown them before from seed but I just fancied the challenge.

    Good morning all.
I hope everyone slept well. I had a good night, went out like a light. I was so tired after the previous bad night.

The plumber noticed that the roof needs a bit of a repair, when he was in the loft.

Thank you @Topbird for the plumbing advice. The bath taps work OK, the fairly new wash basin taps don't. He'll look at them when he comes to clean the water tank, doing an estimate.

I'm going to a friend's for a girly lunch today. The husbands are going to the pub.

Morning all. It's quite breezy out there already and OH has just cancelled today's flying students. Was thinking about doing some stuff outside but I really don't like gardening in the wind. We'll see - maybe finish pruning the roses and leave it at that.

Rubee - so sorry to hear about poor little Bruno. I do hope the dental work fully resolves his problems. How old is Bruno?

RosieBB - also sorry to hear about your migraine. I've only ever had one migraine attack and it wiped me out for a few days so I hope you can take good care of yourself. A quiet day today with lots of special Alfie cuddles🙂

LB - know what you mean about the snowboarders. Wouldn't fancy a mogul skiers knees in a few years time either - and as for ski jumping..... Which seeds are you sowing?

    BL - enjoy your lunch

Chive -can't remember if you're on half term this week or next - hope you enjoy the break whichever it is.

Need to get showered now and head outside before the wind gets any worse. Bin day tomorrow and Friday - wonder how many bins will end up down the road in the 60mph gusts we're forecast? I'll take a chocolate bet now that the bin lorry doesn't come on Friday....

TBird I hope that you can do some gardening today . I don’t like wind either . Bruno is eight . Easy for me to remember because there is only a year between each cat .Casper is nine and Rufus ten .
The vet said that Bruno’s breed is susceptible to teeth issues . I didn’t know that .Poor little chap has very few teeth left .He seems to be doing well .I wish I had realised earlier that he was in pain .Feel quite bad about  that .

    Morning all,

It's definitely not a week for putting wheelie bins out on a steep, exposed roadside @Topbird :o

It looks like it's been relatively dry overnight - the 'pond' level has dropped 2-3 inches anyway! Not going to last though is it?  :D

Looking forward to following your new thread @Ante30. I won't be able to contribute anything but hoping you teach me a thing or two for my own small-scale fruit and veg growing :)

  • Hello all ... hope the migraine has eased Rosie ... the wind's getting up here and it's quite bright so we have a line of woollies dancing on the line for the first time this year ... now to peel carrots and swede ....... have a good day all
