Hello all … a lovely bright morning here … we’re going to head out to the coast for a wander in a bit 😎
I have my phone set on Do Not Disturb from bedtime until 8 am … that way no calls or texts disturb me unless they’re from my Favourites (close family) and they would only call at night in a real emergency.
That way I can use my phone to listen to BBC Sounds as I go to sleep without worrying about beeps and chirrups 😊

Good morning all. It's sunny and frosty again but only -1° so warmer than yesterday's -6°.
I have the landline by my bed but I leave my mobile phone downstairs at night as it's the one that does most of the pinging. Son 2 sometimes rings on his way to work while I'm having coffee in bed, don't want to miss him.
I tried out the new corner bath this morning. Plumber fixed the shower in just the right place so I can sit on the seat in the corner and wash my hair. Bliss to have the drains working again.
I'm going to lunch with a friend today.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Look forward to seeing your finished pebbles @Songbird-1
@Busy-Lizzie glad your bath and shower are fully working. Corner bath sounds lovely, good idea to be able to sit and use the shower for your hair. Have a lovely lunch and chat with your friend. We have landline phone in the bedroom too. But both mobiles are switched off all night when going to bed. Must get a wriggle on, I seem to to be dilly dallying this morning.
Popped out to village shops to get some milk this morning, Brrrrr it's colder out than it looks. Have done a few unmentionable and now sitting on the sofa with a cup of tea. Might watch a recorded Midsomer murders. Hope you're all having a good day. If you're looking in @Yviestevie hope you and your family are well. Take care.
A very good afternoon everyone. Busy, how lovely that your corner bath works well with your shower. You must be so relieved that everything is now working properly for you. I hope that you have had a super lunch and catch up with your friend. SGL, I agree about outside being deceptive when you are just looking through the window but it is bone chilling outside. Well done Hazel on the decision made about your replacement windows. You must be very pleased. It is a good job you felt well enough to go into town to get your glasses tweaked too. Feet up and rest now.

LB it’s bone chillingly cold here too. I’ve been to the sm with dad and he bought me Thai chicken with fragrant rice for tea, my favourite. We had a look around the electricals aa well and back for a lovely cup of tea. Ante your poor neighbour. Busy good to hear you can use your corner bath. I used one of those at centre parks quite some years ago. Debs enjoy your time with young Thomas. Hazel I hope you have sixty winks to catch up on your sleep. I’ve plugged my cape in and I’m cocooned in warmth. Sadly you have to unplug to do things. Chive will you be keeping your mask on at school after Boris’s announcement? Lily I fell back to sleep in the morning for a few hours.
Have been busy with unmentionables today but managed half an hour outside clearing the last few branches from the lawn. Quite a bit of tree and shrub work still to do so I hope the pruner business gets sorted quickly. Posted it yesterday and it's still at Chelmsford sorting office according to the tracking info. Will it make it to Wales by tomorrow as promised???🤔
BL - good to hear the plumbing is working again. Fingers crossed it turns out to be a permanent temporary fix!
Hazel - good luck with the windows. Nice that you can use somebody you've worked with before.
Like Dove, I have my iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch all set to Do Not Disturb between 11.00pm and 7.30am. That means nobody and nothing can set them off except half a dozen selected people who would only ring between those times in a dire emergency.
We have iPads in the bedroom because OH likes to read the paper early and can do so without putting the light on and waking me and ditto for me with books late at night. Phones are generally banned but the Apple watch charges by the bed. It will ring and I can use it as a phone if there is an emergency call in the middle of the night.
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
Rosie, how lovely that you spent day with your Dad. Thai chicken sounds delicious.
Hazel, nice that you already know handyman and that paperwork will be done tonight.
SGL, please don't tease me with Midsomer murders. Maybe I should start watch them again from season 1.
Whole day was calm and sunny, but very cold. Fog is settling now and it's very unpleasant. I packed smaller shelf with books and find few Agatha Christie's novels. Hotel Bertram will be my reading material for tonight. Now I'll make last cup of tea for today and put my feet up.
RosieBB I love Thai cuisine and your meal sounds delicious. I'm glad you had a trip out with your Dad. Are Centre Parks worth a stay? I've often wondered about having a break there. Ante, I am pleased to hear that you have got your book shelves put to use already. Enjoy your reading this evening. Oh and not forgetting - enjoy your cuppa too.

I forgot to mention the other day that my favourite perfumer passed away. Thierry Mugler. I only saw it briefly on TV but oddly enough I had just been talking to a friend a couple of weeks ago about him and my favourite scent. He probably had very little to do with creating the scent but it is named for him.
