  • Morning everyone,
Managed to get a couple more hours sleep. Having a cup of tea and toast. I've got a few bits and bobs to do this morning and then I'll have a lazy afternoon.
    Happy birthday Dove, 🎉🎉🎉
@Songbird-1 hope your OH had a good night's sleep and his face/jaw isn't too painful this morning. How is your throat, hopefully not as sore.
    Have a good day everyone

Have a good one, d-fab. Be careful blowing out those 27 candles ;)

I've put the job offers to the back of my mind for the time being @Ladybird4 but I'm leaning towards the higher offer based on being a greedy, money-driven monster :o

Has anybody been watching Naga and Charlie struggle with a complete lack of bird knowledge this morning? Call me juvenile but Naga exclaiming, "tit?" had me chuckling as she has even less idea about identifying species than I have :D

Biglad, I have to say that those two in the morning drive me insane. I cannot abide Charlie's asking one question then before the interviewee can answer he throws in another two or three just for good measure. I don't tend to watch the news when they are on. I far prefer Dan Walker and Sally Nugent because at least they make me smile with some of the things they say. Naga reminds me of Victoria Coren Mitchell in thinking she is funny when patently she is anything but.
p.s. I'm assuming that they were alluding to the Big Garden Birdwatch. I will be doing my observation tomorrow.*
    * Reminder to check my bird feeders this afternoon. I am going to Canasta today and will fill aforementioned on my return.

Yes - they had a camera on a bird table somewhere encouraging people to get involved, @Ladybird4 but could only confidently identify robins and pigeons. You'd have thought that they'd be prepared and have at least one person on the premises with the vaguest idea. Instead Naga was struggling badly. I only watched for a few minutes as an interlude before the tennis.

I definitely agree about VCM - her attempts at comedy on "Only Connect" are often toe-curling :o

No spoilers for T'Bird but I am loving this particular semi-final Biglad.

That outburst from Medvedev is why I'm supporting Tsitsipas. He's 'orrible. I'm not keen on the commentator chuckling at him screaming at an umpire either :o

No, he totally lost the plot and we were subjected to the ugly side of sport. Vaguely reminiscent of a certain J. McEnroe.

Oh that's a shame @Songbird-1 I have to get full fat milk for my OH and it doesn't freeze well. Could you take it to a food bank?
What a shame you didn't notice before the delivery man left, he could have taken them back.
Hope OH is feeling a little better and isn't in so much pain.
