Good morning RosieBB, Debs and all to join in later. What a scary, windy night last night. I hope everyone who suffered storm Corrie is safe. Today I have to return a jumper I picked up on Friday and I'm not looking forward to going out at all.

Good luck with the pan cleaning Busy. I think you will get it cleaned eventually. Stainless steel is very forgiving - just avoid using abrasive scrubbers on it.
p.s. all that tennis watching yesterday - apart from my recording finishing at 1-1 in the final set - enabled me to start knitting a cardigan for Lily Sophia (definitely 'ph'). I got the back and collar finished and started on the sleeves.

  • LB I need to venture out too but it’s very wild out there and, like you, I’m not in a rush to go out.  How lovely to have the first knitting started for Lily Sophia.  Take care when out.

Good morning Rosie, debs, LB and all to follow.

LB, sorry to hear that you had a bad weather during night. I hope that there is not damage. Take care if you go out.

Debs, have a nice day at work. I just read what's happened to you few days ago on the bus station. Horrible behaviour. I'm glad that Leo is improving.

Here is warm and grey morning. I'm same as yesterday, which is not too bad. We expecting your storm tomorrow afternoon, so wind and snow again.
School is again online for this week. It will be better to work from home if weather gets worse in next few days.

HAve a nice day and stay in the warm house.

    Good morning all.

I hope no one has suffered from wind damage. Not a breath of wind here at the moment, grey sky, it has rained a little.

I didn't go to the SM last week so that's where I'm heading this morning. Just need enough food until Saturday when I'm off to Norfolk to see OH  :D

Daughter 1 doesn't feel well and has just tested positive for Covid. She's had 3 vaccinations.

Hello all ... sorry to hear folk have had sleepless nights ... it's very blustery here too but thankfully it only woke me a couple of times ... OH has been out in the garden putting things back where they're supposed to live, but whether they'll stay there is anyone's guess ... 🙄

Horrid to be in that sort of situation @debs64 ... you have my sympathy ... not unheard of for those of us who work in health and social services of course ... I was attacked and badly bruised once upon a time by a service user with high-functioning autism who was having a complete melt-down.

We all received very good training on de-fusing situations after that, but sometimes there's not a lot that you can do, so if you don't have to be there the best thing to do is remove yourself from the situation ... then alert the police in case someone vulnerable gets involved.

Fortunately I had a very good senior colleague who was able to talk things through with me and help me to rationalise it and put it in perspective ... very helpful indeed and stopped the nightmares.   If you can't get it out of your head, ringing the Victim Support Helpline can be really good

Busy, it must be so exciting for you coming to Norfolk on Saturday. I expect it will be exciting for your OH too.  Maybe he will soon hear about his operation.
Chive, the return was very simple and straightforward and I took the opportunity to do a bit of shopping too. I discovered a couple of charity shops as I was mooching and I'm so pleased I found somewhere to offload more of my 'stuff'. I hasten to add I did not mooch in the charity shops - I am trying to downsize everything! It is great to hear that your son has his car back - all done and dusted.
