    Good afternoon everyone.
Oh noooo Hazel, we cannot have our icon poorly. I hope that 23 recovers very soon and gets his appetite back. What a faff for your son as well. How on earth did that company send the wrong suite? It beggars belief! I'm glad to hear that you are all sorted with your window man though.
Errrr T'Bird, forget all I was saying about the 'good name' of your chainsaw manufacturer. They are having a laugh - mucking you about. I always find that a mention of Trading Standards brings about a speedy solution to most things. My friend Joan, who I visited on Tuesday has a little cat who comes to visit her and her partner. Sounds a little like Oliver.
Busy, its good to hear that Linky man has been and got you connected. Not long now 'til your journey to Norfolk.
Biglad, fit as a butcher's dog or what! I hope that Sunday stays dry for you in your running round the field duties. Has your neighbour shouteed 'Timberrrrr' yet or is the tree still standing?
Had a great time at Bestie's and I got one cardigan finished:
Just got to finish the two fronts of another cardigan then I can get that one stitched up as well.

  • Evening everyone,
Had a lovely catch up with friend this morning. Hope you did too @Ladybird4 goodness you did a lot of knitting too. Very pretty.
@Songbird-1 so sorry to hear little 23 is poorly. Do hope he gets well soon and gets his appetite back.  How can a company send the wrong sofas 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ hope everything is sorted for your son soon.
@bluebellsintherain sorry to hear your mum and dad didn't sleep well, hope they get a better nights sleep tonight. Your chutney sounds delicious, did you make it 😋😋
@Topbird hope things get sorted with your Motorhome soon. Sounds an extremely expensive repair 😥 Hope everything gets sorted re chainsaw too.
@Biglad I get worn out reading about how much running around you do 😤😂 Take care.
@Busy-Lizzie glad you have your Linky sorted. Not long now till you arrive in Norfolk. Hope your daughter is feeling better.
@Chivetalking look forward to hearing about the new kitty cat 🐾🐾🤗
    Have a lovely evening everyone
  • Sorry if I've forgotten anything, mind went blank 🤦🏻‍♀️
  • Oops  sorry @Songbird-1 you weren't there just now.  Not rubbish at all and looks lovely and colourful. Not sure of the size, but could you use it as a paperweight or doorstop?

I may be as fit as a butcher's dog that has spent years abusing his position and overdone it on the sausages, @Ladybird4 :D

The tree is very much Elton John (in Biglad slang rather than rhyming!)  :o

LOL @Songbird-1 - sofa tale sounds like one of the sagas with our windows when they sent one of them in the wrong external colour (fawn instead of greeney grey). The cil was the correct colour though - how on earth does that get through quality control🙄

Stone is good for your first go! Stick with it.

LB - Lovely little cardi - such pretty colours. We've just heard that our latest great nephew has arrived slightly ahead of schedule. His 2 year old cousin decided months ago that he should be called Russell. Nobody has any idea where that came from! Mum has said there's no way he'll be named that but I suspect some of us will always refer to him as Russell🤭 At least his birthday is easy to remember - sneaked in with a few minutes to spare on 2/2/22.

BTW - I will have no hesitation buying another Stihl hand pruner - I'm convinced it's a good piece of kit and I was just unlucky. It's the retailer who are mucking me about a bit. I think I've found a good stockist locally so I'm buying one from them and pursuing a refund from the other.

Evening all. I have to clear up a little misunderstanding. The little cardigan I have knitted was just finished off today - I didn't knit it all in one day. I think I do knit quickly but not quite as quickly as that Hazel, I agree with SGL, the stone is not rubbish at all. It does remind me of lovely Smarties though.
Hazel, the stitch has probably got a name but I don't know it. It needs 4 rows to complete each pattern block. It isn't difficult but I will p.m. the pattern to you. It might be at the weekend as I'm going out tomorrow and my friend from Crewe is stopping over tomorrow night and I might be pushed for time.
T'Bird, glad it's just the retailer.
I am signing out for tonight. See you all tomorrow.

  • @Ladybird4  @Songbird-1 I thought of Smarties too.  I think you'll soon be buying more paint and decorating  lots more stones Hazel.
Congratulations @Topbird on the birth of your new great nephew. Great day to be born 🤗
I'm sure I've got that pattern somewhere @Songbird-1 or something very similar 🤔

Will say night night to you all, sleep well and sweet dreams.
  • Top bird congratulations on the new arrival.  I hope all are doing well. LB your knitting looks lovely.  Oh bother I’ve run out of milk and will have to go to sm.  it will be a short visit.  Alfie was pawing me to wake me up early.  He wanted to sit on my knee.  Just having some tea.

Good morning all. A full day at work today as we have staff off isolating and I foolishly volunteered to help.
Lovely pebble and I too thought of smarties.
Cardigan is gorgeous how clever of you I cannot knit at all. Or sew. After we lost mom there was nobody in the family who could sew as my sister and brothers are equally hopeless, I once sewed  some curtains I was attempting to shorten to my own skirt, twice! My youngest daughter has however just taken it up as a hobby and made some lovely rompers for Thomas. Good to see that useful hobbies like sewing and baking are really getting popular with the younger generation.
Pouring with rain here. Must take an umbrella.
Leo is now fully recovered by the way even without the antibiotics. Thanks for all the advice.
    Have a good day everyone
