Hello all, Thanks for all your sympathy I am fine but it’s a scary feeling as it’s a busy bus station usually plenty of people around I was unlucky getting there just after a bus had left. I use that station regularly with no issues so just a one off I expect. He was probably harmless but aggressive behaviour is always upsetting isn’t it?
My kitchen cupboards are now very tidy.
Lovely photo @Ante30 glad you feel a bit better

Evening all. Managed a couple of hours in the garden today just doing general winter tidying and cutting back but I got quite cold. However, it's better than being out in the wind we had yesterday & forecast for tomorrow & Tuesday. Ground was rather dry - not much rain this winter - none at all so far this year.

Also managed a complete news blackout so I was able to enjoy the tennis this afternoon and evening. What a great match - positively gladiatorial and some cracking shots.

Debs - sorry to hear about your unsettling experience. Been in a similar position myself and I remember I couldn't stop worrying for weeks afterwards on how easy it would have been to have become a very nasty situation.

Ante & Dove - get well soon. Lovely kitty pic Ante🥰

BL - the first time I made marmalade it seemed to take an age to reach setting point. Took my eye off it for 10 minutes and suddenly I had orange toffee.😩
Recommend you try some bio washing liquid / powder and pour boiling water on and leave to soak for 24hrs - will probably work. Failing that I often use neat bleach to remove saucepan 'deposits' - especially effective on enamelled pans like Le Creuset. I have much experience of removing burnt on deposits....

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

Thank you @Topbird. So far I have boiled water with soda crystals in it and left it to soak, quite a lot of the burnt stuff has come away. I'll try bio liquid on it tomorrow if I can't get the rest off. It's stainless steel.

    Goodnight all.

  • Glad you've managed to get some of it off your pan @Busy-Lizzie washing powder and hot water has worked for me. Hope you get it all off.

Saying goodnight everyone. Sleep well and sweet dreams

Ante such a lovely picture of the cats looking very snuggly.  I hope you feel improved this morning.  Lily it’s good you enjoyed your walk it’s good to have fresh air if not too blustery.  Just about to make a cup of tea.  A wild wind blowing through the night keeping me awake for quite a while.  Alfie’s returned to his slumber after a visit for cuddles.  I’m wearing many layers.  Anyway time for tea.  Hazel let’s home the winds settle down.

Good morning all. Very windy here so expecting a blustery walk to work but I don’t mind wind at all. Hope those who were awake early got back to sleep ok. Leo is improving slowly with probiotics and some tablets I bought online that he takes happily so maybe give it another few days before I go back to vets.
    Last day of January! Hooray!
