    Morning all,

Damp and mild start here. Due to get pretty windy shortly, which is annoying as I've had to remove one of the new fence panels :( A neighbour is getting somebody in to remove a large evergreen tree right in the back corner of his garden. He can't access from his side so has asked if it can be done from mine. I've taken the panel out in readiness.

  • Afternoon All, it’s certainly breezy here but not as cold today, back home for a welcoming cuppa ☕️
Busy I hope it went well with the door salesman this morning and the quote was acceptable, good to have a recommendation. The Linky sounds ideal for your needs, we have resisted having a smart meter here so far, but most energy companies want you to have one now,
SGL I hope your day is going well, are you able to get outside or is it too windy?
Biglad Oh just when the fence was all finished! It is nice of you to give them access, I hope the neighbours tree removal goes without too much disruption to your garden,
    Have a nice afternoon everyone.
  • @Chivetalking it's a beautiful sunny day here and quite warm. We had a walk to the duck pond.
  • Ah how lovely @star gaze lily looks like lots of ducks come to greet you, a nice day to be out for a walk 😊

Good afternoon everyone. I've had a lovely catch up with my friend. She used to be an art teacher until she retired and then she worked as a dealer in an antiques emporium. She had a box full of cheeky postcards which we roared laughing at although I had to read them to her. She had promised to show them to me. Certainly did bring lots of smiles to our faces. We spent the last ten minutes or so talking about the favourite material shop that we knew of in town and were wracking our brains to try and remember what the dialectic word for the ends of rolls of material/remnants was. As soon as I crossed my threshold it leapt into my head - fents! Does anyone else know that term I wonder?
SGL, I think it was you who asked about me getting another jumper. Unfortunately the only M&Ss I have near me are Food Halls. Great for returning clothing but that's all.
Biglad, I'm sure that the removal of that tree from your neighbour's garden may benefit yours - more light etc. Just a nuisance you have to remove the fence panel.
Chive, I don't have a smart meter as originally they didn't have one that dealt with Economy Seven. Maybe nowadays they will have sorted that out, but I am quite happy to send in my own meter readings. I've had an email from BG to say that they will be my supplier from 3rd. and I can either pay by cash or cheque!!!! Yeah right.
SGL - thanks for sharing your lovely picture.
p.s. Chive, my Daphne is not flowering yet but I think it has some flower buds there.

To be fair, it will benefit us tremendously, @Chivetalking @Ladybird4 - loads more sunlight to currently shaded areas ;) Just hope the chap turns up to do it soon.

I've completed my transfer to a new medical practice. Slightly after the transfer deadline but it's gone through ok :o

    Evening All,
LB sounds like you’ve had a real giggle today with your friend, she must have seen all sorts of interesting things in her time as an Antique Dealer. Hope the transfer to BG goes without any more hiccups, payment by cash or cheque! that’s not something you see much now. Sounds like your Daphne will be starting to flower soon,
Biglad The extra light to your garden will be welcome, hope the chap turned up after all,
    Have a nice evening everyone.
