Don't you wish you could go back to a time when politics was ticking over nicely and other things were more interesting? Maybe we are cursed to 'live in interesting times' or maybe it's my age. I sincerely would like the news to be boring.
I think it's a shame, I had high hopes for her when she took over. Maybe the misogynists got to her., but she seemed to spend all her time apologising for things that should never have happened.

She certainly didn't cover heself in glory by stating the Met wouldn't investigate 'Partygate' and then having to say they would, but that was minor compared to many other things which happened when she was in charge. The final act of stating she was going nowhere and then resigning a couple of hours later just about sums her up.
She'll be fine though. Previous Met Commissioners had been useless too but that didn't stop them moving on to other senior posts.
£65 to remove my stuck wheel nuts and replace them with new ones. Could have been worse but I wish I could bill the mechanic who tightened them up in the first place. I got home, still mildly annoyed about the bill, and found someone had let their dog crap in the middle of my drive and left it there.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

or maybe she wasn't up to the job?
Another example of the Peter principle then. People get promoted to their level of most uselessness.
