Reduce the number of threads, not increase them.
We are all adults, surely we can moan, cheer, talk about the weather any where.

Maybe we need a specific thread to discuss whether we need specific threads for individual contentious issues. :D

There's probably a flow chart somewhere.
    Are you offended? ___> Yes ___> I don't care
\___> No ___> Damn I must try harder
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

The dancing thread is well signposted but sport, parsnips and forsythia can catch you unawares😒

  • Sorry to hear @Kili of the deterioration. Hope they can do something.

On the topic of being offended... this clip hopefully will cheer people up and put life into perspective.

tee hee. That's cheered up my morning.

there are those who just seem to seek out offensive stuff so they can be offended.

We used to go to Gay Pride. There was often a " Women only space " but never a  " men only space" . There was often a " people of colour space " but never a " white only space"
I was never offended by my exclusion from these spaces, merely puzzled by those who demanded them.

He comes across like a lot of the COVID denier / 'it's all a mainstream media conspiracy' types. Not sure if he is, but he uses a lot of the same phrases. And a lot of the tired "it's political correctness gone mad" tropes. I wasn't offended by his routine, but I was bored.

"Her spokeswoman said allegations made by former Tory chairman Lord Ashcroft were "just the latest attempt by bitter ex-officials" to discredit her adding: "She is a private individual who plays no role in government." "

So fixed penalty notices aplenty for her presence at No 10 parties then?
