@Bee witched -when we were doing up a previous house, and needed to attach plasterboard in various locations, we found that the B&Q version of Evo Stick's 'glue' for that purpose was much better.
We called it Grips like ****   ;)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Oooh @Hostafan1 ... that'd be marvellous with soft butter and a smear of marmite ...  you've made me hungry now ... I've got a  wholemeal loaf I made yesterday ... that'll have to do ...

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.

Yum! Just back from a mercy dash to the supermarket for the forgotten porridge. I was trying to ignore the freshly baked crusty loaf we picked up while we were there, but I think the temptation will be too much. Still, they’re only fresh once, the porridge will keep.

Make your own bread and supermarket bread will cease to impress. Perhaps a good reason not to make your own.😒

I love porridge! I made myself half a bowl, and followed with a slice of bread. Lunch has been put back to 4pm.
Ive never been successful at making bread, until I bought a bread maker. That was great for a few years, but we ended up eating so much of it, I had to stop. Gave it to my gluten intolerant son, who has been happily making his own fresh bread ever since.
