Good morning. I see a pterodactyl in your cloud @Pat E I have received photos today of my friend in Aus sitting under vines and eating warm peaches straight from the tree (not jealous at all) Hope your pain is more bearable DD (for some reason I can't tag you) I have found 2 bags of miniature dafs and iris that we bought in the Autumn and never planted. Today's job, though I don't expect them to flower this year.
Morning all. Went to see a friend last night,we met in a nursing home 30 years ago,she started her own agency,I worked for her for a while We moved, she moved, both re married Lost touch, bumped into her in Eastbourne shopping mall,a few years back. Hooked back up
Then Covid, her mum with dementia living with her,her mum dying last year. Finally got together, had such a laugh, about the things that went on,on the night shift. She's recently had a knee replacement. Poor DD,Uff,we have a rather splendid eucalyptus in our back garden, palms out the front. Welcome back Punkdoc, hope you are doing better.
Hope your pain is more bearable DD (for some reason I can't tag you)
Try D0 , not DO. Took me a while to notice!
Slept in, and late breakfast. Going to try a walk by the seaside this morning, with a detour to Waitrose on the way back, as we are out of milk and eggs. Only 5C at 10am, but I’m fed up with being in the house. Glad the antibiotics are kicking in, @D0rdogne_Damsel, improvement should speed up now.
A good a bright morning to everyone on this sunny Sunday.
Quiet Sunday - yes @Dovefromabove - how nice to be able to look at the clock and snuggle down again. I heard the young couple next door chipping the ice off their windscreen as they get their kiddie into the car to get to school and work on Thursday and thought - well I did that too!
Home from visiting Hubby. He had a yogurt, 2 slices of toast and jam, then asked for a cooked breakfast ( bacon , sausage, fried egg, grilled tomatoes, hash brown) another 2 slices of toast and 2 cups of tea. Someone managed to persuade him to have a shower yesterday and got his hair washed too. I've not managed that in 10 days. He even said he was " happy " . What a difference it makes. Bless'im. Home now, 2 loads of washing going and about to have my breakfast.
We have a watery sun shining so I must make the most of it, and start moving pots of bulbs etc away from the house. The roofers are coming tomorrow to make a start on replacing some rotten barge boards and soffits (helpfully concealed by the previous owners under plastic cladding). They are the only workmen we've managed to find here who tell us in advance when they're coming, and turn up on time... we're still waiting for the plumber, who promised in October to come and service the heat pump
Meanwhile Hubby is busy painting the kitchen. I've got a very simple menu planned so I don't get under his feet too much.
Glad the antibiotics & painkillers are beginning to kick in, @D0rdogne_Damsel - nothing worse than ear and face pain, IMO. And happy news of your Hubby, @Hostafan1 .
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
I hope it warms up some more as I would like to plant out my round pink and white rose bed this afternoon. The roses have been in the veg garden since last spring.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Good to hear @Hostafan1
I'm watching the tennis as an excuse for not clearing the porch roof of mossy debris but it will happen at some point today

It was -4° here this morning when I got in the logs but the sun has come out and it's now +5°.
That's better news about your Hubby @Hostafan1, glad to hear it.
Your plumber sounds like my plumber @Liriodendron.
