She'll love being home with you ... whether she can be out in the sunshine or not. Hope you can enjoy each other's company for a good while yet.  🤞

Glad you have Jenny home for whatever precious time you can have with her @raisingirl.
Your syrup looks delicious @P@"Pat E".  I would love some of that spooned into the yoghurt I have with my morning meusli and fruit!
Only a couple of months to rhubarb season - I make a syrup with that for my breakfasts.

Annoyingly took more goes to get it today:

Read too far into the night again.  Our book club (meets this evening) book this month is one I had read before and enjoyed. Meant only to skim through to remind myself of what it was about but found myself reading it properly as I enjoyed it so much. The Dutch House by Anne Patchett in case anyone is interested.

The berry syrup tastes very good, especially on yoghurt. I still don’t know which berry it is, but don’t really care so long as it works for a bit of flavouring.

We’ve become hooked on a series called The Killings.  Based in Denmark. I’m really surprised how many words I still know since I haven’t been with my late husband since 1972.  Just show how some things stick.

    Night all.

Belated happy birthday to Dove. I made blackberry compote to go with the ostkaka, the old man loved it, wanted more for his porridge.  Made a rice pudding yesterday, going to drizzle a bit on that. Love to everyone 💖. The old man has gone out litter picking in the village.

I was sad to read about your lovely dog, Jenny @raisingirl. She's lucky to have such a caring owner who looks after her so well. I hope that when the end comes that it will be peaceful and painless.

Today's Wordle done in 5/6. Must do better next time. :(
In a similar vein, may I entice fellow forum members to try out my own "Guess the Sentence Papi Jo" game on my Drupal site.

Hello folks, Such a change from yesterday's lovely sunshine, very grey and drizzly so far. Usual walk this morning and I've just come back from a quick trip up to our big out of town Sainsbury's the other side of the city. Was surprised to find it was 11 miles return journey. I only needed to return some things I bought on Friday but while I was there I bought two new Pyrex jugs as one cracked over the weekend. Thankfully, they are marked in Imperial and Metric.
Pleased you're able to have your dog back @raisingirl, hopefully for some time yet.
That must be quite a trip for you up to Bristol though.
Hope the mocks go well for your son @Dordgone_Damsel, I think my grandson said he's got exams as well for the next fortnight. Must phone and see how's he doing.
Did anybody else watch Attenborough last night - fantastic photography but what a monster flower - stuff of nightmares!

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone.
