That's ok @Dovefromabove, I drink it black anyway. Charlie says himself that these ones are the hardest, the teachers told him, he's hoping to do ok so that the real thing can only get better.

“Coffee. Garden. Coffee. Does a good morning need anything else?” —Betsy Cañas Garmon
Morning everyone, loving the cloud pictures @Pat E yesterday's brief bit of blue here, has gone again. A pair of Blue tits are loving our new tree. Within minutes of it being delivered they were all over it. It's still in its pot on the patio, I am trying to get NDN gardeners in to lay some drainage in the back of the bed and help with the planting (there's no way I can move it on my own even if I wasn't having trouble with tennis elbow). These gardeners do work for our daughter as well as ndn,. They do occasional jobs for me but pinning them down to an exact date is tricky.
The windscreen and wipers on eldest's car are currently being replaced on the drive. If the chap finishes soon, that'll free me up until this afternoon's dentist appointment. I was anticipating waiting in and looking out of the window all morning but we must've been first on the list for a change!
Hope Charlie gains some confidence from the mocks @D0rdogne_Damsel. My two were anxious students around exam time but always did well. However, at the other end of the scale, I was an annoyingly cocky examinee I never took mocks seriously with the view that they "didn't count". Didn't revise and answered questions that we hadn't covered on my History mock The teacher went ballistic but I patted myself on the back for getting 8/25 (scraping a very low pass) on a topic that we hadn't been taught Luckily, I was able to cram very successfully so spent the months preceding my O' levels playing a lot of snooker at the local club before chucking 'all-nighters' (or a Felix, as we used to call them) and regurgitating everything onto the papers the following day. I must have aggravated parents, teachers and hardworking, fellow pupils no end!
Just one big cloud here covering the whole sky! Wet and humid but not raining. No wind to sweep away the clouds.
@D0rdogne_Damsel Made the same wordle mistake as you and also did it in 4. You may find that the exam marks and marked work that Charlie did during the year, will be accounted for in his final exams. Would be interested in some sites for online crosswords as well.
@Pat E The loganberry syrup should be nice over a bit of vanilla ice-cream. We were given a bottle of Mulberry Wine over Christmas, so that will be interesting. Haven't opened it yet.
Black coffee for me too with a nice square or two of dark chocolate! Since my adventure in India with milk, I now avoid it in tea also. But I love yoghurt and cheese. (not in my tea!)
Possibly seed sorting today....possibly!! There were some good recommended programmes to watch on the thread, may just check up that people here are telling the truth!!
We are most likely going to a rugby match on Friday evening - seat spacing and masks, but on Saturday evening there is a play written by French actress Josiane Balasko which I think we will have to miss because of this jolly virus. Too risky.
Wall to wall clouds here too and what is supposed to be fog is actually steady rain. Very soggy squelching down to see the chooks so they'll probably spend all day in the polytunnel. Two eggs this morning! First time in months.
Boro workshop at Patch club this pm followed by mosaic class - my busy day of the week. I find it really helps to get out and chat and share in a safe environment - all jabbed, masked and distanced - or the dark days and cold can really get you down.
Black coffee for me, tho I do like a proper cappuccino if I find one when out, and since I gave up coffee at home last June I now drink a mint and liquorice tisane for my cuppa.
Running bear for me too @Pat E tho I can see your poodle too. Might they be Tayberries? Doesn't matter as long as they taste good.
Charlie will be fine @D0rdogne_Damsel but good luck to him anyway.
Happy Monday everyone. Stay safe and dry if you can.

Grey, dull and cheerless here, but I refuse to put the lights on at 10am. Have just ordered a new tumble dryer, as they had dropped the price. I’d been humming and haaing about the one I had my eye on, as it had only a 7kg capacity, one of the smaller ones available. However, got out the manual for my old one to check the measurements, and it turns out that has only a 6kg capacity! Dohh!

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
