Morning all, cold wet and windy here, very gloomy indeed. Hugs @punkdoc take care of yourself. 27 again @Dovefromabove? Love the cloud pictures @Pat E. Had a lovely long chat with Daughter yesterday, she showed me a beautiful wood carving that her brother had made for her for Christmas, it was called "Siblings" and it was of her with her arm round him, i wanted to cry. He has done some lovely woodwork while recovering from Covid.
Did my first Wordle yesterday, but I fear it took me all 6 guesses. By row 2 I had the first 3 letters, but my next 3 guesses got me no further forward... fortunately there was only one word I could make from the remaining letters! So yes, you need a reasonable vocabulary and the ability to spell, but some of it must be luck. And as others have said, it's good there's only one per day!
I shall try not to get in the way today. OH is starting the painting, when I've found his old shoes...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Thoughts are with you @punkdoc Thank you for your precious advice about my rib. Getting better, although it seems to have flared up in the last couple of days, so am back on anti-inflams and paracetamol hopefully for a short time. Come back soon and let us know about the NDN saga.
No rain for us down here. We are just on the cusp but the sky is cloudy and we have had a very windy night. More strong winds on the way.
@floralies That wooden sculpture must have been very moving. Just to know that your children get on and really appreciate each other is settling.
@D0rdogne_Damsel Courage for today. Probably be a great atmosphere inside, if it is cold and rainy outdoors. Good luck with the admin.!!
And to all the other Wordles and gardeners alike - have a good Sunday.
Morning everyone, lovely bright day here, so much better than yesterday. My dear brother often suffered at this time of year too @punkdoc, I wish I'd understood it better at the time . The only thing I would say is get out into the air and sunshine at every opportunity, and look after your physical health too, but you know about that I'm sure.
If virtual hugs and best wishes help at all, @punkdoc, here are some from me. Sorry you can’t get your usual professional help right now?. My psychotherapist friend has been doing Zoom consultations throughout the pandemic? Hope you won’t have to stay off the forum for too long, yours is a very reassuring presence here. Take good care of yourself.
Hugs too, to @Hostafan1, keep strong. Hopefully you are managing to catch up with your sleep by afternoon naps Got woken at 6.45am by an owl somewhere very, very close. Didn’t see it, but could also hear its mate / potential mate twooing somewhere not too far away.
Even if you don’t read this @punkdoc - I am thinking of you. Let’s hope the Spring brings with it some positivity and better times ahead for those who really need and deserve it. You know who you are.
Doing a COVID-safe Birthday present drop-off to niece today. On days like this I feel the weight of COVID spoiling things, but I am also willing and happy to try my best at keeping others safe.
Have a decent Sunday all. I have washing on the line! It might not completely dry but it’s a step in the right direction.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
