No frost this morning, but a cool -3.5°C. Maybe the thermometer has packed up.
Will have to gaze at those clouds a while @Pat E Yes, I saw the tsunami warning for the coast. My friends are in Melbourne so hopefully will be sheltered around the corner!!
Today's expression is quite pertinent for many on this site: Prépare pour saint Marcel, tes graines nouvelles.
So that's on my agenda today, sorting through my seeds. In fact, I am contemplating sowing a few peas (mange tout) today which was what brought me to ask my first question on this site - back in the day! Still the same packet, so hopefully in between the pigeons and the birds, some may emerge!
Feeling (a little bit) better today, thank you all for your kind comments. We are all Covid free, lots of tests been done on us all this week, kids included of the the staff and all negetive. I am mostly suffering from blocked sinuses now, an awful headache, but not the totally exhausted feeling from two days ago.
Good job, I have a Sunday Roast to prepare for everyione at the restaurant today, our New Year special and going down great.
Hard frost here but sunny. no clouds to share like @Pat E but an absolutely gorgeous sunset driving home last night. Unfortunately, at the point I could pull over to take a photo it just disappeared behind the trees and darkness swiftly followed.
Have a good day all, I hope loos are sorted and maybe some seeds get planted.

Good morning all 😊 ☕️ Amazing pics @Pat E … all grey here. Looking at that map, it appears to be going to affect my cousin and his family in Tas. They’ve had fire, now flood …
OH only has a 12-3 shift today … they had an incredibly good day yesterday … way exceeding their target. Who is spending all this money on Damascus knives and cookware at this time of year?

Good morning all. I have absolutely nothing planned for today and no demands on my time at all so shall take my time deciding what to do. Weather breezy, bright and cold so that's good.
Morning all. Hope that tsunami hasn't caused too much of a problem to those living on the small islands although I gather that poor Tonga has been hit badly. @PatE is see a tortoise in your latest picture, facing us with its head out and looking to the right? Not intending to do much today, just a mooch around the garden making plans I think. Hope you all have a peaceful and relaxing Sunday.
Hello all. My 'gardening' tasks have been completed- taking out the kitchen waste to the compost bin and cleaning the bird bath (an essential, but frequently forgotten job). I have little else on the agenda, will probably have a lazy day like several have already intimated, which is completely ok, cos it's Sunday!
Dull and overcast again here too. I think many of us are the same at the moment it's a quiet time. I did a bit of pruning on my standard Acer yesterday so I might be re-checking the rest, there were quite a few bits of die back. Some potential bad news on the new tree, there are quite a lot of little "bits" coming off it, at first I thought it was just where it had been wrapped up. The gardeners were round yesterday to discuss putting in the drainage at the base of the patio. The lead guy was looking at the tree and he says it's extremely dry, and thinks I need to get back to the supplier. Not good.
No sooner had I posted that 'it's all grey here' than a sliver of blue appeared, and grew and grew ... now we have bright sunshine and the greyness is receeding westwards ...

The cricket might not last much longer so my excuse for remaining sat on my backside will have gone The urge to do something useful in the garden is there but no idea what as yet...
