Morning, glad you heard from Punkdoc,Dove,no not hibernating, moi,!!! enjoying the crisp sunny weather, after day after day on blooming rain, long beach walks, gardening stuff. Sorting out paperwork. Always seems to be such a lot. Told my 12 years old granddaughter I would kill for a 3rd bedroom. She asked what I wanted it for. We have an old fashioned bureau, hubbies grandad made,a wicker ottoman at the foot of the bed, full of box files. One of those A to Z section files. I have my craft stuff and sewing machine in the spare room, but there's only a small wardrobe in there. That's on hubbies to do list for this year!

Morning all. A car drive and a hike to the top of a hill to see a sculptor's work for me later. I was hoping for a brighter day and to take my camera with me (the good one) to encourage me to get back into photography but it's a dreary day here so I'll make do with the phone camera.

Lovely rampaging elephant in @Pat E cloud.

Just been out in the frosty morning (to retrieve trail cam disk …..lots of fox action) and heard the first woodpecker drumming this year.  Seems spring is limbering up 👍🏻.

Went for a sunset walk last night, and it was still light enough to walk back to the car at 4.45 ……yay 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻  Sunset was very lovely too

(Frensham pond glinting there @steephill ………..)

Enjoyed Monty’s Croatia last night.  We had a holiday in Dubrovnic about 10 years ago and visited the garden he went to - I remember that pergola with the view over the sea particularly well.  Interesting that a country has to get rich before the “land is food” principle is abandoned and gardens (as we know them) start to get created.  Perhaps obvious, but I had never thought of it like that before.

I was just thinking the same, give me the cold bright days any time. I have been getting to the Allotments,  we walked up the farm,  much better.

  • Morning all. Sunshine today so I finally plucked up the courage to go out and take down the Christmas outdoor lights. Feeling a bit chilled now so going for a hot cuppa to warm up again.

Nice sunset photo Chicky.  I see the moon is looking as though it’s close to full?

  • We enjoyed Monty Don, too. It's the only way we get to see the world these days.
I succumbed to Wordle this morning. Beginner's luck (4)
As we have no doctors/hospital visits, we hope to go into the hills for a short drive once the district nurse has been. Simple pleasures that will make us feel more human again. He's talking about being able to go out for lunch again! Yay!!
Note to self: repot parsley today!!

    Beautiful North Wales - hiraeth

Morning all, sunny and cold today, anything is better than rain! Lovely pictures everyone.
I usually record Monty on a Sunday morning so look forward to seeing Croatia, I went there many years ago and the scenery is spectacular.
