Hello all ... hope you've all slept well ... it's bright and chilly here ... I've fed the birds, drunk three coffees and now I'm heading for the studio ... have a lovely weekend folksย  :)

Morning all later arrivals. SM was nice and quiet and despite the fact I was hoping for a plant fest, it was very disappointing. They did have fruit trees though but I don't have enough room for them in my garden. I did manage a bargain duvet though Chive. I spotted just one double in with well reduced king size ones. Those used by the hippo and duck! I asked one of the store ladies if the discount also applied to the double duvet as it was such a great price and I thought I would get it. She checked for me and it did plus the good news was that as a loyalty card holder I got another 15% off. Naturally it came home with me! Chive, I think it is only fair that we get to try the cake - quality control you understand. Bless you for doing that task though and I hope that you all have a lovely time
Biglad, I think it will be a fairly decent day for running around the field duties. I've done a little bit in the garden. It is very dark though.
Hazel, I just knew that the decorating itch would be hovering around you soon

    Hello all.ย
I hoping you are all enjoying your day.
There was a frost here and now it's lovely and sunny. Think I'll go outside this afternoon and plant roses.

Daughter 2 and her 2 yr old son have now caught Covid from her other son and daughter. She has a fever and is feeling pretty rough. It should be her ex's turn to have the children next week but he doesn't want them.

Busy, I'm assuming that the ex doesn't want the children this particular weekend because of the Covid situation? It would have been kinder of him if he had had the children as normal so that your daughter could have a bit of respite whlst she is feeling poorly.
Hazel, it is amazing to think how long we have been chatting on Rez! We can use 23 as our 'sign post'.

Just watched Leinster cream Bath 64-7 in the European Rugby Champions Cup. It was VERY muddy at the Bath ground. I hope that Biglad has enjoyed his running around the field duties.

I'm afraid I didn't really @Ladybird4. I was told it was on a 4G pitch but arrived to find a mudbath instead :o I went a*** over *** in the first minute much to the amusement of everyone except me :(ย

90 mins of players sliding, slipping and, mostly, falling over ensued. I'm home and had my hot bath so feeling better now. Time to fall asleep in front of the TV methinks ;)
