Good morning SGL, Rosie, LB and all to follow.

SGL and Rosie, I hope that you two managed to get some sleep. You were awake very early.

LB, good luck with Lily. Hope that your visit to vet goes well.

Sunny, windy and very cold morning. I'll not go with Rose to vet today. He calls me and ask can we come tomorrow at 8 am.
Now tea, then preparation for school.ย
Have a nice day and see you later.

    Good morning Ante.
Lily disappeared under my bed first thing this morning - it is almost as if she knows! Rascal!
I have just heard that Meat Loaf has passed away. The very first CD I ever bought was Bat out of Hell, way back when. Loved him.

Good morning Ruby. I am cautiously hoping she comes downstairs of her own accord as there is no way I can get down and under the bed.

Good morning all, got a busy day packing and leaving house tidy we are off to Ledbury this afternoon. Not really looking forward to it but going to try to stay positive. Got a bit of a cold I think though it may be my hay fever starting early lots of sneezing.
I bought fiancรฉ some hot chocolate from whittards for Christmas sticky toffee flavoured and he used some to make ice cream, also some blackcurrants from the allotment so we have 2 tubs of deliciousness! No wonder I canโ€™t lose weight!!ย
Good luck to those dealing with naughty ๐Ÿˆโ€โฌ› kitty cats ๐Ÿˆ today.ย

Hello all ... hope everyone is well rested .... it's not just alcoholics who mustn't be given food with alcohol in it ... there are folk whose religions forbid it too.ย  Sometimes it's far simpler for charities to refuse food with alcohol in it than to spend time and energy sorting it all out and checking on who can have it ... also some of the volunteers working in the foodbank may be forbidden by their religion to handle alcohol.ย  When I worked for Children's Social Services I helped organise the distribution of Christmas food hampers with the Salvation Army ... of course they would not distribute food containing alcohol.

Thanks for the kind thoughts about my son's car @Chivetalking ... he had similar problems to Topbird,ย  caused by a mistake made by a mechanic (a small local garage ... one and a half man band sort of thing) ... it's taken months for the chap to complete the repairs ... it was a complete engine rebuild ... free of charge of course except that my son paid towards some of the parts as he felt that was fair ... thankfully he was able to borrow a friend's 'second car' .... son said that although he could have gone down the legal route that would probably not have been quicker and would've meant the chap would've been put out of business, and which of us has never made a mistake?ย  Thankfully son has found another chap who has a specialist knowledge of diesel engines and has checked the work over, done a few tweaks and things seem to be fine ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคžย  Commiserations @Topbird ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

The first LP my brother ever bought was Bat out of Hell ... for quite a few years it was the only record he possessed ... of course that was way back in the days of vinyl ... CDs didn't come in until later.ย ย  :) and he didn't have a cassette player in his car either ... so when he played it we all had to listen ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sharp frost here ... think I'll leave it a while before I head to the farm shop ... another coffee may be in order ........

  • Just got back from nearest town. That's exactly why I had to go in too @Songbird-1 Had to pay a cheque in for OH and I also drew out some money.ย  Don't do on line banking either and I prefer to get money from inside the bank rather than the 'hole' in the wall outside anywhere.ย
Also popped to W'rose and got some bread and Panini. Then bussed home. Still a bit frosty, but we have blue skies and sunshine. Gorgeous day.ย
Now sitting with a cup of tea.ย  ย
Hope you have a lovely weekend @debs64 ย  ย  ice cream sounds delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹
