Lovely sunshine here. Not exactly sunbathing weather but nice enough for me to get a bit done. Got the last of the old fence panels broken up and packed into the car ready for the tip tomorrow (it's closed Tues/Weds).

Post has arrived with the latest GW magazine. Going to have to hold myself back from sowing as the first of the free seeds accompanied it ;)

  • Hello I'm back from sm and have unpacked.  Visited mum and dad and dad then visited me.  Just had a hot chocolate. LB sorry to hear about your latest supplier.  I hope you'll soon be sorted.   It doesn't help with choice though.  Topbird sorry you've been a bit down.  Your day out in London sounds good including the food.  I managed to stay in bed without Alfie waking me up so he's had a goodnight thankfully.  Busy I'm glad your test was negative.  I best make some tea.

Glad to hear Alfie had a good night RosieBB. Hope he does again tonight. I am signing out for today - got a few nice programmes to watch. See you all in the morning. Its gone very cold here so I think there will be a frost.

I cut out fabric and lining for a curtain in my bedroom, pinned it, went to sew it but the sewing machine has gone wrong. I haven't used it since the move so I thought I would try it on a piece of fabric first and everything jammed up.

But I've found a lady nearby who is a sewing machine repairer D

Now the garden tractor won't start but I've found a garden machinery place who are coming to deal with it, and service it, tomorrow D

Wonder what will go wrong next? thinking-hard-smiley-emoticon But that is three things, with the pipe blockage, so should be enough.

  • goodnight LB enjoy the rest of your evening.  Hazel I just picked up some highlights and added water and topped up with milk, a change from options others can be recommended.   I’d slept in a while and did my sm shop later than usual.  It was cool here too even though sunny.  Big lad I hope you enjoyed your time in the garden.  Wishing you all a good evening and hope you get to sleep.

@Busy-Lizzie - sorry there's more things going wrong but I think I'll join in with banging my head - hard - against something solid.

Had an email this evening from the m'home workshop. Replacement for the part they knew was faulty arrived today. When they started taking things apart they found a shed load more damage. Repair bill has gone up by a minimum of £800 but their recommendation of work to be done increases it by well over £2000. Having seen photos of the damage and diagrams of the engine we fully understand why they are recommending the additional work.

At the end of it there's still no guarantee that bits of metal haven't gone deeper into the engine and done further damage. I've been in tears (which is singularly unhelpful!) and we both know that there's no way of knowing whether laying out more money is going to fix this once and for all. Think we're in for a sleepless night....

Topbird im sorry to hear about your repairs for your m home and the stress it’s caused.  That was a very expensive mouse. I hope you do get to sleep though.  Busy how frustrating for you.  Good that you’ve found a lady who repairs sewing machines and hope you can then finish your curtains.  Also good news that you can get your tractor repaired.
