    Double ditto. I've decided that when I get the wood for my new gate that I'm going to make I'm going to roll the rugs up in the conservatory, put dust sheets down and make it indoors. I've had enough idleness this past couple of weeks. Wee Uff can sit and watch me.

    Left some rather nice cheese out last night (wrapped in paper ) came down this morning, bits of cheese and mouse droppings all over.

  • I have traps, from the big cheese brand, not the old wood and wire plastic (sorry), but they are super sensitive,and very effective.

    It's an old house, with very good ventilation, so we are used to mice, but eating my beautiful cheese is not acceptable.

    What a PITA. You’ll have to go out and get some more.

    NB  AN old-fashioned metal biscuit tin is good for keeping cheese at room temp in … the cheese doesn’t sweat as it would in plastic. 🧀 🤤
