  • Good morning everyone.
@Ladybird4 I thought AJ was amazing too. Really hope she's in the final. The dancing this year has been exceptional.
Have a lovely day everyone whatever you're doing. I'm going to finish putting the Christmas decorations up.

  • Hello everyone … we’ve slept late … thanks for your kind wishes everyone …. apparently I am having a supervised shower this morning …. 😲

Morning all. Looking forward to watching the Grand Prix at lunchtime but before that I'll get things ready for this evening's dinner of roast chook followed by apple & blackberry crumble.

I cannot add any comments about Strictly - I think it's a bit of a marmite show (Ante = either love it or hate it - nothing in between). Shall we just say I don't love it? Far too loud and glitzy for my taste. In fact there is absolutely nothing on BBC 1 on a Saturday night that appeals apart from the news. Loud 'game' shows, glitzy dancing, Casualty and football....

Does anybody watch Casualty any more? Exactly how old is Charlie Fairweather supposed to be? He's like Dixon of Dock Green. Still working decades after his retirement party was due😁

Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down
  • Morning @Dovefromabove and @Topbird
Hope you're not too achy and bruised this morning. Have a restful day.

I've never watched Casualty, but used to watch Holby.
    Enjoy your chook later 😋

For some reason auto correct changed chook to school 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

  • Good Morning everyone, it’s been a roller coaster couple of weeks. Sisters MILs funeral is on the 20th, it’s a natural burial she will be laid to rest with her husband so a nicer thought for the family to have over Christmas. Mum has been able to leave the house using her walking sticks, an emotional event as mum was greeted by her friend at the end of the garden path. Sister and I took mum for a drive to see the neighbourhood, she thoroughly enjoyed that. OH & I had our booster on Friday the Moderna one I reacted to mine which left me wiped out yesterday, but feeling much better today. Last week at school, Christmas dinners this week so lots of excited children ahead 😊
LB Are you are feeling better? i see you felt the start of a cold coming on again, hope you are keeping warm. How is Lily? She clearly didn’t fancy the trip to the vets 😼
Sorry to see Rubee you were feeling so unwell recently, I hope you are improving now how is your OH?
SGL I hope you are feeling better, sounds like you’ve had a horrible cold they really bring you down. I hope your OH is keeping well,
Hazel Sorry to have missed your daughters birthday belated wishes for her, I hope she is on the mend from the chest infection.
Bluebells An early SM shop done glad you got some fresh milk. I hope your foot is much better now and you & Alfie are now snuggled up together,
Topbird Sorry to see you had a power cut, no tea in the morning would reduce me to tears. I’m pleased that you’ve had some response concerning the ET matter, enjoy watching the Grand Prix racing later on,
Debs I hope OH is feeling better now and enjoyed the bike show, have a lovely time at the afternoon tea,
Ante Take care putting up your lights,  how is your father? now he is able to sit up I hope that has improved things for him,
Busy Sounds like you & your daughter have managed to replace those important items she needed and nice to spend that time together. Hope all goes well with the church service, the homemade mince pies will be enjoyed.
Dove Sorry to hear of your slip in the bath how frightening, I hope you’ve not suffered too badly after that,
Biglad Sorry to see your OH has tested positive with Covid I hope she soon is able to rejoin with the household,
Sorry for the lengthy post, have a lovely Sunday everyone.
  • Good Morning @Songbird-1 Hazel I hope you both have a lovely visit to the GC finding lots of nice things there.

I just wanted to say thank you very much everyone for all your kind thoughts, the support you’ve shown me it is much appreciated x

  • Thanks folks ...  I've just had a 'supervised shower' ... OH stuck the mat down very firmly indeed and it was perfectly secure ... it just shows that yesterday's acrobatics were all my own fault ... I've found a few bruises in strange places  and my left wrist is a bit sore ... I'm using a black Velcro splint that I had when I broke it a few years ago, and that's making it much more comfortable. OH is at home today so I'll have a quiet day ... a bit of work on cards in the studio and supper is a favourite ... pork chops cooked 'a la Toad in the Hole' .... delicious with lovely oniony cidery gravy ... I told the butcher about cooking his big bone-in pork chops like that ... he'd not thought of that but thinks it sounds really good ...

Now I'm heading for the studio ...

    Hello all.

OH is having a CT angiography scan today. I hope it's OK.

The Carol Service went well yesterday, about 36 people came. The Chapel is small so it looked well filled. People said they liked my decorations.

I watched Strictly then Miss France on French TV. Miss France went on until 12.45am. I picked out 4 girls at the start and one of them one. Do they still have a Miss UK? All the French girls were in full time education, training to be dentists, or pharmacists or bankers etc.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
