    Hello all,
Hope you don't mind me popping in, but l was in a branch of T**co a couple of weeks ago and saw Camp coffee.

My OH used to drink it when we first met, complete with 3 sugars 😳

Hazel, apparently a friend of his told him that 'sco stock it and Jack knows that is mostly where I shop so I will have a good look the next time I'm out there. He is still getting quite a bit of pain from the shingles and I think that is what is getting him down. The Doctor told him that cocodamol and paracetamol were not a great deal of use for the shingles pain and has doubled his dosage of gabapentin, which he takes for his myasthenia gravis, as this is more useful for nerve pain. He has been taking the double dose for 3 days now and says he has noticed a slight improvement. Fingers crossed.

    Afternoon everyone,
LB I’m pleased you had a trouble free journey to & from your rellies, the white stuff falling must look very festive. I’m sure you will cheer Jack up with some company & friendly chat, I had to google Camp Coffee looks like there may be some variations of it in ‘Sco, there were some recipes online for cakes using it quite a nice idea! I did try to keep my germs to myself honest 😇
Hazel Goodness that is a lot of damage caused by the storm. I’m glad you’ve been able to put your garden back into some order, it feels like a positive step forwards after the shock. Good idea to have a conversation with the neighbours about replacing the fence in the Spring and I hope your Clematis recovers from its ordeal. I'm glad you are feeling better now,
    Have a nice afternoon.

Anni D we don’t mind at all . It is so kind of you to mention where you have seen Camp coffee . I am sure LB will be pleased and jack will be delighted .
Hazel so pleased to hear you are feeling better after all the mess that needed clearing up . I do feel sorry for you and your neighbours. We have had a huge fall of snow . I am hoping it rains and takes the snow with it .LB ,Jack will be so pleased to have your company this afternoon .I am expecting a large bag of cat food to come this afternoon , that’s if the courier can get through .

Hi @AnniD thanks so much for confirming that is where I will be able to find it. Do you know what Hazel, I might just have to get myself a bottle too and take a trip down memory lane. As Chive says, there are some recipes that call for it so I could also cook with it.
Goodness me Ruby, I do hope that the courier can get through safely. It would be hard to explain that to the cats!

Courier staggered up the path with my cat food a few minutes ago . Poor chap looked frozen .
He had the most charming Southern Irish accent  . Reminded me of a friend I had at school.

    Afternoon everybody.

    SGL,Happy Birthday to your OH!

Chive, I'm glad to hear that you are better. Well, you are supposed to share everything in the marriage 😂.

Hazel, sorry to hear how much damage you had from the storm. I hope that you two will sort it soon.

I just came home from the walk. Grey, damp and cold day. Mountains tops are all white, way too soon. Now I'll prepare some things for tomorrow, then I'll rest a bit. I need to google what the Camp coffee is.

Hi all sounds like you have all been very energetic for a cold Sunday afternoon. I have not done much, fiancé has no energy and likes a bit of company on the sofa watching old films. It has been so difficult watching someone who is so energetic and constantly working almost fade away to a quiet man who can’t even summon the energy to make a cuppa but he is slowly improving.
Sorry to hear Jack is still suffering I know shingles can be a long haul and painful. Hope the camp coffee puts a smile on his face.
SGL hope your OH has had a good birthday.

    Hello all.

Hazel, I think you are being very brave and positive about the storm. I hope you manage to sort out all the damage and it’s not too expensive. Sounds as though you’ve made a great start.

We had a tiny snow fall this morning but not enough to whiten the ground.

I’ve written my Christmas letter. I want to send all my cards to English friends and relations before I go back to France on Saturday.

Debs, I hope that your fiancé gets out of the doldrums soon. It has really knocked the stuffing out of him hasn't it. Small steps and hopefully he will get some of his energy back soon.
Evening Ante. The hills near me were white with snow as I drove home - did look pretty though.
Busy, you have been living up to your name again but it will be nice to have that task behind you before you return home. Hope your daughter is coming to terms with everything.
    Night night Hazel.
