Good morning all. Pouring with rain here but not so cold. Off to work in a bit. Fiancé is feeling well enough to visit his mom, her brother died at the weekend. They were not close at all but I think it’s upset her. Small steps for him but I think it will do him good.
@Topbird i need new glasses mine have got a broken “arm” but it will have to wait until after Christmas now.
@star gaze lily hope you feel better today my son had a sore throat and splitting headache last week but it only lasted 2-3 days. There are some nasty viruses around again.
Hope you all have a good day. Stay dry and warm.

Good morning RosieBB and Debs White rabbits everyone. Glad you got your 'peepers' sorted T'Bird. I seem to remember that Harry Potter had broken specs too. You and Debs could start a new trend.
SGL blackcurrant is my favourite flavour of that medication too.
Busy, glad to hear that you were able to 'attend' at your OH's consultation but it is quite worrying to hear what is becoming more and more urgent. Fingers crossed that the lung scan happens quickly.
Debs, I am sorry to hear about your OH's uncle but it does seem like your OH is on the recovery road. How was the Chinese last night? Its an age since I had one.

Hi @Ladybird4 my fiancé has not seen his uncle since he was a child, his mother had fallen out with him, as she has with most people. They will go to the funeral if possible but it will be in Bristol so rather a trek. Chinese was lovely I am not a takeaway fan but nice that fiancé actually “fancied” something to eat. This has been a long haul and financially not the best but could have been worse. So pleased that there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Hope you have fun with the Connie crew today.

Good morning Rosie, debs, LB and all to follow.

Debs, I'm glad to hear that your fiance is better.

Sunny and very cold morning here. It's already Wednesday and December 1st. Time is flying so quickly. I had very busy day yesterday so I didn't caught everything here. My father appointment went well and he will be able to sit next Monday. After Christmas he has booked a therapy at spa.
In my walk, we alway pass by huge puddle for wild animals, and it was frozen for the first time this autumn. My dog love to jump in, but yesterday he refused.
Now tea and preparation for school. I must buy and write christmas cards, but can't yet find them in the stores.

    Have a lovely day.

@Ante30 we have had Christmas cards for sale here for weeks! Probably you have a more sensible attitude to the festive season in your country. I love Christmas 🎄 but it starts so early! Pleased to hear your father has good news. Hoping he continues to improve.

Morning Ante. Excellent news for your father but I hope he will just take things slowly and steadily. Your dog was very clever noticing that his favourite puddle was iced over. I am still working my way through writing cards. It seems to take forever.
Debs, its such a shame when families have disagreements like that. I just feel very lucky in that my family is very close knit and I've never experienced any bad feelings. We are just happy to agree to disagree - without any animosity - when something controversial crops up. For example, which football team to support. Sorry I'm being a bit flippant there but you will get the idea.

Debs, sending Christmas cards here is almost dead. I usually buy them in the post office, but this year they didn't yet display them. I have few friends abroad and family members here, and I like send them cards every year.

I agree @Ladybird4 in my family we never fall out but fiancé’s mom is a very difficult woman although she is always nice to me ( to my face anyway) and she would be happy to start a row with anyone. Oh well it takes all sorts I suppose but it means fiancé hardly knows his older family members. Such a shame as I love my aunts and uncles and we stay in touch. Family is so important I feel and I am blessed to have a large one.

Debs, I remember that my grandfather didn't spoke with his sister either. He had a two brothers and sister. She died at 2007. and he was the last remeining of all of them. He was so said and regretfull when he found that he has no sister anymore. She lived just few houses away. He died two years after her.
