Hello all … hope power has been restored, the poorly are on the mend and that sore throats, coughs and colds disappear from whence they came …

It’s definitely milder here this morning 😊

    Good morning all.

Have a lovely day out @debs64.
I hope your cold is only a mild one @star gaze lily.
Have your hiccups gone @bluebellsinthewild? I hold my breath while drinking a glass of water.

OH has an appointment with the surgeon this afternoon in outpatients. Wonder if it will lead to anything.

Milder today. I've been outside to chase the horrible cockerel off my flower beds. Someone dumped it and 5 others in the village. Some were caught but this one is very fast and flies. He wakes me up far too early in the summer.

    Morning all,

Our snow has disappeared overnight. Back to rain and gale force winds now, it seems.

I've made a to do list for today - there are 20 tasks on there at the moment. I wonder how far short I fall ;)

Morning all. It's truly tropical here - a full 12 degrees warmer than this time yesterday. Might have to dig out the bikini again 😉

Opticians appt this afternoon - overdue by a year but didn't feel much like facing all the hassle and palaver of getting it sorted this time last year. A 20% off voucher has lured me in this time because I need some new glasses for computer work.

The ones I use ATM are my original prescription reading glasses and are 20 years old. That prescription is perfect for mid distance work but the glasses have been looking rather shabby for ages. One of the arms broke yesterday so it's taped up like Jack Duckworth's. Definitely time for a new pair...

RosieBB - hope the hiccups have gone now. Holding my breath for as long as possible works for me.

BL - did I see on Forkers that your OH has a hospital appt? Fingers crossed it's good news for him🙂

SGL - sorry to hear about the throat. With your OH's health history it might be wise to do a lateral flow test just in case...
Heaven is ... sitting in the garden with a G&T and a cat while watching the sun go down

    Tah dah!
Hello all later arrivals from first thing this morning. I shall be bobbing this across to Jack later on - he'll still be asleep!
Debs, I am definitely not going to argue with Thomas! What a lovely picture and thenk you for sharing with us. Positive news about your fiancé too! 👍
SGL, poor you. Honey and lemon is very soothing and I agree with Hazel about the medication she mentioned. I found it helped my cough no end.
    @Biglad - I reckon 19 short myself!
Busy, fingers crossed it is good news for your OH later on. I remember you telling us about the release of the chickens. nuisance!
T'Bird, don't be bumping into any lamp posts on your way to the Optician's today. I used to love the banter between Jack and Vera - favourite expression 'my little swamp duck'!
They opened the big IKEA store at Gemini. near me and they were lovely on the day. Gosh how long ago must that be? Don't answer anyone please!
