Maybe I’m used to stronger pain killers.
Are you saying it’s ok then, to take out of date tablets?

Morphine's my problem, after surgery to remove gall bladder and apendix. It was polar bears snarling, foaming and the mouth,BUT also my late father doing the same!! When I had previous jabs, just the one paracetamol upset my stomach

I took morphine for 6 months before my hip surgery in 2005. No problems taking it, nor stopping it.
Tramadol, on the other hand , took me 3 years of cold turkey to get off it

Aspirin should always be thrown out as it decomposes and isn't good for you but paracetamol just loses its strength. Don't know about codeine.

I would never prescribe [ or take ] Tramadol, but I know it can be very useful in some people.

I regularly take out of date tablets, but doctors tend to be very casual in these matters.

In France they have limited Tramadol prescriptions to 3 months now as it seems there is a problem with addiction if used longer.

Still cold and damp here so I'm cooking chicken bhuna and a lentil dal cos I forgot to go down to the potager before dark to get a cabbage to do Gujerati cabbage and carrots.   Good winter warmers anyway and the cabbage will still be there for another day.

Possum has been told very firmly that I will not countenance Veganuary but I'm happy to have vegetarian 3 or 4 nights a week starting now.   She's doing something with sweet potatoes tomorrow.

I would probably take out of date tablets (have taken old paracetamol but I really needed them) but if somebody else asked me if it is a good idea I would say no.
